Cult of the Bones / Kult Kości - my master's thesis. (This is only a small part of the project!)

Each skull was sculpted manually (no slip casting etc) and decorated with various materials + decalcomania. These skulls are only a portion of the project, other things include jewelry, posters, serigraphs and other sculptures.

Hello!! Thank you for taking a minute to send this. I really appreciated your positivity this week. Your message also made me realise that I had somewhat turned into a ghost and I haven’t given a progress update in a while.

So with your trust in me - here’s full transparency:

Work on the crownless was placed on the backburner at the beginning of 2024 whilst I went full Aries energy and chaotically overhauled my life. We’re talking job change, PhD research proposals, and moving city. Needless to say, the last of the life admin overhaul was submitted last week, pending an interview next week, which means the end of chaos is so close I can taste it.

I am an exhausted pigeon.

That said, with a huge amount of support (read: therapy and wine) from @amarillis39 and @saveourskinship over the last year, I have built a new magic system, expanded the character designs and created new characters, so progress wasn’t stalled entirely. (So really, when this book series see the light of day, it’s down to them).

I now have at least 6 months to fully concentrate on organising and finalising Decalcomania (the new series title for the Crownless). As part of that, I’ll be more present online again in the endeavour of exploring publishing options.

So I’ll have another update at some point soon, and thank you again for this!
