I think that the best Naruto ending should have been ambiguous.

We don't know if N and S are dating or if ANYBODY is dating but S is back and N is happy.

And the way I saw the last panels/minutes is that the two of them sit side by side on the Hokage mountain, talk and laugh while the sun sets, showing us that a new future is ahead of out fav protagonists.

But no. They had to get married.. Couldn't they just, ask Orochimaru? To make a kid?? That guy did so many weird things in his life that asking "Yo, can you make us a kid" wouldn't be weird and if he hasn't done that already, he would have wanted to see if he could

Well.... They could've adopted a kid who was orphaned by the recent war, you know.

unpopular opinion addendum; lan wangji is not as silent and expressionless as the fandom portrays him he's a human being capable of full sentences, he's actually quite chatty in the audio drama, being an introvert doesnt make you silent. secretly, lwj is a huge nerd who can go on once you find the right subject. he -enjoys- talking to wei ying especially, wy is just more talkative, and lwj likes to listen to him. i relate hard to lwj, so i know our types only speak when we have smtn good to say

OHHHHH i like this!!! and in the start only one person knows this and it’s our dearest brother reader aka most perfect man in my life named lan xichen (yes he deserves a sentence introduction) but ok imagine the first time he went all “nerd” to wwx and our resident chaotic bi just froze up bc whaaat is that lan zhan talking miles per minute (lol but his expression still doesn’t change and that’s how wwx knows it’s still him hahaha oh and the insistence of everyday is everyday yep that’s his husband alright)
