fINALLY an instrumental version of Les Rois du Monde that doesn’t make me want to cringe. some minor suggestions, however:
add a vocal chorus in, well, the actual chorus. you don’t have to make them sing the words of the actual melody, just let them do the harmony. it’d be really haunting and cinematic, which is what this interpretation is going for, obviously
the chorus tonality is a little off. think opera chorus and less child air chorus and you get more of an idea of how to perform the harmony. let’s say that retj is being presented as an actual operetta at the metropolitan or whatever - that’s what you should be going for
bring out the neat counterpoints of the songs more, maybe with flutes or english horn. hell an open-air trumpet, very mellow, would work
