when benr crashes into whatever void they were hanging out in and keeping gord, it's so dramatic and startling that benr is able to scoop gord up without any trouble, and immediately brings him to his mouth
he doesn't even have a chance to place gord in bc the second gords in range he's darting between benrs rows of teeth and scrambling towards his throat as fast as he can move. benr wastes no time pushing him back the rest of the way and gulping, getting him safe within benr mere moments from benr coming in
benr takes a second to make sure the pouch is blocking out any Old Tongue, including his own voice speaking it, and to make sure gord isn't injured. his rage grows when he senses the bruises, tho he is relieved it wasn't worse. he sets up some teal green, and then turn, absolutely fuming, toward his peers
they're looking a little freaked out at benrs intensity, and are doing the cosmic horror equivalent of holding up ur hands up placatingly in a 'woah calm down buddy it's all chill' kinda way
it is not all chill, and benr makes that known with force, interspersing his attacks with 'hes not a *thing*!' and 'you *hurt* him!' and 'stay the fuck away or I'll murder you, asshole!' and other similar things
when they turn tail, benr stops and warps them home. he curls up in gords bed, now his human size, tho with benrs physics bullfuckery, gords space doesn't change and it isn't visible from outside
he squeezes gord and sets to checking him over, comforting him, and all around trying to soothe the panic and distress around this new trauma
gord gets to the stomach, finds a fold and almost as soon as he's curled up he's being kneaded by soft flesh, and there's teal soothing his pain. he can only hear soft sounds, and he's being held tightly enough in the pleat that even as he registers benr is moving, he's still safely held in place
he feels it when they leave the void, a pressure in his mind dissipating. he sighs with relief. he notices he's crying, and leans into benrs comfort. he just wants to hide for a while, and benr, feeling protective, has no issues with that
