Going Forward #Welcome2014 :)
It's been a while since I wrote something, and what's better than starting afresh in this new year.
I had an epiphany a while back. I've heard about 'The law of attraction' various times. Essentially, the law states that you attract what you think. If you think 'I can't do this', everything in this universe will attach itself to that thought and you will not be able to do it.
But what I also realized is that this gives you the power to change things around you. If your environment is a mirror to you inner-state, then you have the power to change your environment by changing yourself from within.
This New Year's Eve, I co-hosted a new year party in my area with my mom. My aim was to make this party extremely joyful and encourage everyone from little to old to participate in the planned activities. I welled a deep sense of joy and gratitude in my heart for getting this opportunity to change something and being the shining sun of happiness. (Usually area parties are very drab). I told my nervousness to take a hike. And believe me, I could see my inner state being reflected in my environment. It worked like magic!
Imagine if we lived each day, each moment realizing this truth. We could achieve so much more, and be victorious no matter where we go!
My great mentor, Josei Toda said these powerful lines, directly addressing the youth, "Open the way, blaze a trail. Transform every challenge into a story of victory!"
I have been trying to embed these words in my heart since the past month. It is up to each one of us to open the deadlocks that stop us from being truly happy and living fully, that is why he's asking the youth to open the way for themselves and for others, who are stuck. He's also saying that we must become capable individuals brimming with boundless wisdom and courage, who can lead others and blaze a trail of happiness! And these problems or 'challenges' as I'd like to call them, are opportunities to win over the negativity that we're carrying around as extra baggage...
No problem is a problem..it's a challenge enabling us to become a winner and a better person.
I am going to live 2014 and beyond with this spirit burning in my heart. It's going to be an epic year! Looking forward to unfolding many victories.
