Happy Winterfest! Praise the Lord for our Saviour’s Birth! And praise the Lord for his plentiful gifts. The gift of family, of course, but also the gifts He enabled Henry to provide for Nat and Peter!
They crawled down the stairs early in the morning (Nat zooming ahead of Peter so fast she tumbled down the last few stairs!), and their eyes were HUGE as they took in the tree and the presents!
Once the littles were in bed, we sang hymns and songs of worship together before sitting down to a wonderful Winterfest feast (prepared by Henry!).
In the middle of dinner, I suddenly started feeling contractions! I knew that this was probably just the beginning, so I tried to continue on with dinner as normal.
Well, this baby had other ideas! He wanted to arrive ASAP (eager to be born on Christfest! What a gift from the Lord!). Luckily Hosanna was able to stay with the twins (who were fast asleep anyway) while Henry and I hurried to the hospital.
Henry was able to be in the delivery room again this time, although he still needs to work on staying calm! He alternates between praying, praising the Lord for the miracle of life, and running around in a panic! I don’t think our doctor appreciated the distraction. Speaking of which, I had a woman doctor this time! I told her all about my sister Hosanna, the future doctor!
Finally, just a few minutes before midnight, our blessed son arrived! We named him Nicholas Paul; Henry suggested the name, and I think it’s perfect! The twins have taken to calling him Nick or Nicky, which is so cute!
