(AN: I’m not really doing a transition post between Mal and Ruby mostly because I forgot to take the necessary pics, and it’s a bit late now... lol. So anyway, we’re in Ruby’s POV now!)

Wow! I can’t believe that I’m married and finally out of the house! Don’t get me wrong, I love my siblings, but my mom is a bit... much sometimes. It’s so great to have some alone time with Henry! We’ve rented a beach house in Sulani for our honeymoon, and spent most of the first day just lounging on the deck out back!

Unfortunately, we both got an awful sunburn. I’d never been somewhere so sunny before, and completely forgot sunscreen! During our morning bible time, I couldn’t help but laugh at how much I resemble a tomato. Luckily Henry shares my sense of humour. If I’d ever laughed during bible time at home, I’m pretty sure Mom would’ve smacked me with the book!

We’ve been spending a lot of time on our honeymoon just doing silly, fun stuff like building sandcastles and going on the swings. It’s so refreshing to not have anyone to clean up after, or have any laundry to do, or any of that stuff! 

My Mom called us a few times (maybe a few too many...) to check in with how everything was going, ask if we were enjoying our alone time (she seemed really interested in that one!), and asked if I’d saved any souls for the Lord while we were here. I said that we were just enjoying our honeymoon, but she reminded me that the Lord calls us all to minister to sinners whenever we can. I told her I’ll mention it to Henry and see what he says. 

As you can see, our sunburns did not go away easily! I tried to cover mine up with makeup, but Henry thought it was cute that we had matching burns so I left it. I think I look a bit silly with my skin matching my hair, but Henry looks so handsome! I wonder if our kids will have my hair colour or Henry’s? Mom was always talking about how only three of us twelve kids had dad’s red hair. 

Henry loves seafood, so we went to plenty of seafood restaurants while we were there. I’d never tried shrimp before as Mom doesn’t like it, so this was such a treat for me! There were tons of yummy fruit drinks as well (alcohol free!). I loved the Purple Island Punch!

Our last night in Sulani was wonderful! A waiter at the restaurant offered to take this photo of us with the stunning sunset in the background. God’s creation is so beautiful!

(AN: Y’all, these two are actually the cutest. They get so many happy moodlets from hanging out together, more than any other sims couple I’ve had, they autonomously chat together for hours and hug each other - after a few months of Mal and Liam who are never the same room together, this is refreshing!).
