The Voice/Don't Tag Your Hate! Diatribe
Nicholas David should have, without a doubt, won The Voice. You let America vote and they'll fuck it up nearly every time. I blame teenage girls mostly. They are too young, naive, and shallow to recognize the real deal so they pick the pretty package. Teenage girls love Cassadee Pope and teenage girls are some of the worst people on the planet (If you don't believe me get stuck with some in line at Burger King sometime). Cassadee Pope does have some talent but do we really need another vapid pop twat? Nicholas has real soul, is unique, and is what The Voice claims to be all about. I think in the long run Nicholas will have the better career and I'm not as angry as I sound. I'm a comedian so I hope you chase what I say with a shot of laughter. I just felt the need for a diatribe about popular music/"artists" after watching those results last night. The Voice is the only show of this type I watch. I'm very cynical and rarely get excited about singers anymore. Nicholas made me excited and gave me hope that there are still true voices out there. The fucker moved me basically. I know who wins doesn't really matter because people can still go on to great success regardless if they win or not. I'm hopeful and excited to watch where Nicholas goes in his career.
I'm not even going to tag Cassadee Pope in this post because I don't feel like getting heckled by said teenage girls. I put up a joke about Katy Perry once that went:
"'I Kissed a Girl' was a Jill Sobule song title. 'California Girls' was a Beach Boys song title. 'Teenage Dream' was a T. Rex song title...what's your next song Katy? 'Free Bird'?? FUCK OFF."
I then tagged that joke (which is fucking funny because it's fucking TRUE) with KatyPerry. I then got a bunch of responses like:
"why are you posting that in this tag?", "Don't tag your hate!!", "Get out of this tag! No one wants you here!!", "Don't tag your hate!"
I replied, "Well, I tagged KatyPerry because it was about KATY PERRY!! Tags are subjects not fanclubs!"
I also got this one, "He just wants attention. Haters gonna hate..."
If you've ever used the phrase "Haters gonna hate" I hate you. People are free to hate whatever they want. After I tried to explain this I realized it was the most futile endeavor ever and gave up. Plus, I'm a grown ass man and I waste enough time online without arguing with teenagers. Point is...people usually dislike things just as passionately as they love things. It's called human nature and having an opinion. They are allowed to dislike stuff just as much as people are allowed to love horrible pop stars like Katy Perry. I'm sure that Katy Perry/Cassadee Pope fans would hate most, if not all, of my musical heroes and, good! So what! They can tag them and hate on them all day. It doesn't affect me.
One girl even said, "What you said is offensive to Katy Cats".

FUCK?
First of all, KATY CATS??? You actually call yourselves that? Second of all, when did people that have an unhealthy attachment to Katy Perry become a minority group that you have to be careful what you say to? How can you NOT hate someone who has fans like this? I basically hate people who hate people who hate.
And I love Nicholas David.
