With their last encounter ending in something that Antonia really didn’t want to think about, it was a surprise she hadn’t seen Nick in so long. If he had left already for that trip to Rome with Victoria without telling her, she would be able to handle it, but it would have felt a little silly to be upset. She knew that Nick couldn’t wait around for her, and she had made her decision. Though, it didn’t stop her from trying to get some answers, so she had to show up at his door, maybe not for him, but for their daughter. Spending time with her was something special. Seeing Nick was just an added bonus because of how different he was with her around.

“Hey Nick. I haven’t heard from you in a few days. Is Victoria doing alright?” She knew about the gun shots, because of them approaching Andrew about it, but what she didn’t know is that Victoria was now missing.

After spending time with Victoria, it seemed like the only thing that had changed was the world around them, even if they had to sneak off because of some silly rules that Nicholas had ordered around in the prospect of wanting to keep their daughter safe. Antonia wanted to keep her safe just as much, but also wanted to giver her a life that she hadn’t had before now, and that was just as important. She wanted to give her daughter a freedom that had never been allowed before, even if it cost the trust of Nick.

It was easy to see that it had affected him though as she saw him, a short sigh leaving her because she had been caught. “I only took her out because you haven’t been dressing her properly.” She accused.

A trip to enjoy for the ages. The vampires were already travelers in their own kind, from the bow of a ship in a single life-defining meeting to the many different residencies they held throughout the Americas during the 18th-century. It was often lost on Antonia that as of recently, she hadn’t ever actually flown with Nick anywhere, and that of itself was something she was looking forward to. 

With the destination in mind, the young woman hadn’t taken a moment to consider what they would actually be doing, and packed a month’s worth of various clothing into a single stuffed suitcase. They would be gone for less than a week, but she had to have an outfit for every occasion. Once the time arrived and everything ended up smooth sailing, they wound up across the Atlantic Ocean in the Netherlands, and the curiosity got the best of her before they even had a chance to make it to their suite.

The masquerade had brought all walks of life together, and it was nice to see the intermingling of all the species under one roof without so much as a hitch. At least, it was a little bit too early for anything like that. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves at least, which made the vampire a little bit more at ease. And even though she had come with Kevin, her eyes still lingered across the room to the man she had spent the night before with, giving him those lust filled glances. Excusing herself, she knew she couldn’t lie, seeing that anyone would be able to see right through her, but instead, she just said that she had to visit with her old friend— which is exactly what she needed to go do. Crossing the room swiftly and gracefully, as if she were gliding, she gave Nick a once over and muttered, “How’s the party going from over here?”
