Helen Norville and Bill McFarlane on the Logies red carpet in S03E01! ❤️🌟

Helen arrived at the 1989 Logie Awards, fashionably dressed and fashionably late.
Bill greeted her at the taxi door, complimenting each other on their Logies outfits, and not long after she had planted her feet on the ground, a voice called out to her. “Oh Helen! Lovely to see you on home soil! You look fabulous.”
It was the gossip columnist from The Sun; Donna Gillies. Donna has been hearing whispers that Helen would be headlining a brand new show. “Going head to head with News At Six! How did Dale respond?” Donna queried. “Just for the record, it’s not head to head. We’re late night.” Helen clarified.
But that’s not what Donna has heard. She’s heard that Public Eye will be on at six; a flagship show. “Sorry, who have you heard these whispers from?” Bill questioned Donna. “Well, I’m not going to be revealing my sources. I’m a journalist!” Donna chirped, smugly. As Helen and Bill rushed on in, Bill remarked on how terrifying Donna was. “Yes, and she’s always right!” Helen added.
In the table-filled dining room of the Hyatt, Helen and Bill met with Vincent and Walshy. Helen explained to them that she had heard that they would be a flagship show at six p.m on the red carpet. “Who asked you that?” Vincent queried. “Donna Gillies!” Helen laughed. Walshy began to ramble. “This is very new information. Obviously we would have preferred to tell you ourselves,” and Vincent chimed in; “congratulations.”
Helen gave Bill an incredulous look. “Is this from you?” She questioned Vincent. It had came from programming, and there were a lot of details that needed to be discussed. Bill started to discuss a bigger budget, but Helen’s mind was elsewhere. Before she could ask much more, she was ushered to her seat, as Debra Phillips was called to stage. Her and Dale caught eyes, and Helen’s face drained in realisation. Not only was she going head to head with News At Six, her main competitor would be Mr Gold Logie himself; her Dale.
