Nick was in a worse mood than usual. He had been since he had spoke to Izzys dad. He loved her, he wanted to marry her and he had said no. He knew that Izzy probably didn’t care but Nick did. He never got his fathers approval, he wanted Izzys dad . But he knew that, that was never going to happen now. He sighed as he entered the house. He and Logan had been to his grandparents house and Logan had fallen asleep. He moved straight into his childs room, putting him down in his bed. “Iz?” Nick called quietly as he moved to the living room.

Proper Date || Nick & Nora

Nick had been enjoying getting to know Nora better.  He had finally asked her over for dinner.  Not that he was cooking, because Nick could not cook to save his life.  He had ordered in, setting it up on the small table on the balcony of the flat that he shared with his sister.  

The stars had aligned - giving him and Nora the day off, so he was just wanting for her to arrive.  Maisie was at work for the next forty-eight hours; which meant that Nick had little worries about work calling him.  While he waited for Nora, he tried to tell himself to not be nervous, but the truth of it was that he was, indeed, nervous.

The first full moon came on New Years Day.  With the insanity that always seemed to follow that season around, Nick was even more sure that he would go out with Nora while she had to shift.  Unlike her, he wasn’t as tied to the moon’s phases.  Yes, it felt nice to take on his wolf form, but he could go a moon without shifting with her.  

While he waited for the night to finish, he had told Nora to go run, to stretch her legs.  He would be there, waiting for her, keeping guard.  Nick could see her dart in and out of the trees; his eyes tracking her as best as he could.  She was a faster runner than he was, even with his age.

Nick sat down next to a tree.  There was several clumps of brush near him so it gave them some cover.  He dropped the bag of her clothes down beside him, waiting for her to find him when it was time to go home.  Nick had a day of pampering planned for her.
