Nicke Andersson, however, has a completely different recollection:
“Uffe and L.G. knew these guys, and told me they needed a drummer. So I went to their rehearsal space to give it a go. The day I went there I had put on a white Wehrmacht T-shirt, and that would proved to be a fatal decision. Obviously this was all wrong according to the image they wanted to create for themselves, so I was basically rejected even before I started to play! They wanted to be evil, and my T-shirt obviously wasn’t. At this point I was still of the opinion that the fastest band wins, and didn't fully grasp which bands were “true” or not. But once I too had buried myself deeply in the death metal underground, I myself became the most stubborn antagonist toward everything that wasn’t hard enough.
