Dr.Nick is transgender and gay and Lionel is cis and gay

Dr.Nick performs top surgeries and he's actually pretty decent at it. Sometimes other doctors like to talk smack about him for his lax gender surgeries. Like he'll ask some basic questions [allergies, health complications, ect] but doesn't really require high dysphoria from patients. It's very controversial to the other medical professionals in Springfield.

People like to speculate that he performed his own top surgery. . .but no he didn't. But he's not gonna correct them 🤭. He jokes to friends that he used silly scissors on himself.

He meet Lionel when someone attempted to sue Nick for his questionable practices and lack of professionalism in his procedures. Lionel unintentionally defended Nick and caught the Doctors attention.After that they started to share shady business practices with each other [ex: the Bart gets Run Over episode].They gradually got closer and started to date.They hit it off pretty quickly and in only a few years they got married.

Dr.Nick usually works late night shifts and sleeps during the day. Lionel tries to work his schedule so that he can cuddle his husband in the morning/afternoon and make sure he gets plenty of sleep. Before that Nick used to suffer from burnout and insomnia.

Lionel will sometimes dottle on Nick a bit due to his size. Nick always reassure that he's a grown man and that he's completely fine. Nick will climb the counter to get the peanut butter before accepting help.

Lionel and Nick sometimes make-out and cuddle in public. They're just unapologetically lovey dovey.

They don't plan on having children but they do own a couple of cats.
