Here goes (newest to oldest because that’s how ao3 fed them to me, with links no context):
1. "Can't wait to get my mouth on you," Alfie muttered under his breath.
2. "So then he said, 'It's unbelievable, Secretan, you have to see it for yourself,' and Christ, Will, I've never been more certain that I was about to be presented with a prick in my life."
3. "Why did you choose me?"
4. "I thought we agreed on purple."
5. "Christ almighty," Will said aloud, as he pushed open the door to the shop and almost tripped over a moving target on his way in.
6. The band was in full swing by the time Will arrived at the club.
7. "Hello, my love."
8. "That was not acceptable!"
9. Jeremy groaned and swatted around for his phone, patting the bedside table and coming up empty, almost knocking a glass of water over in an effort to stop the racket.
10. “Kim, stop.”

ASK HIM WHY: A Fanfic of Nicky Rook
It is the first day of Year Seven, and you are still a child. Unsure and unnoticed, but with at least some confidence in yourself, you sit in on your courses alone.
Until He comes.
He tells you his name – Toby Feynsham – and the two of you become fast friends. He is more beautiful than sunlight, more spectral than the rays that blind you as you walk out the grammar school’s doors together. And as time passes, as you absorb that brightness, you feel yourself turning toward Him like a flower to the sun. Perhaps you are at one with the blooms that you carefully fasten to your clothes each morning. You contemplate this under the gentle flicker of candlelight and the dim rays that sink through your window when He is not there.
Others might call the cloud-dimmed rays art, but you are an aesthete. You know Art when you see it in Anglo-Saxon poetry. You know it shines through in the uncritical nature of a springtime day or the beauties of the flowers that surround you as you walk home with Toby, laughing.
But there is no Art quite so beautiful as Him, and you cannot help the stutter in your chest, the thud-thud-thud ringing inside you when the gentle breeze blows through His red hair and His eyes light up like star-fire.

Nicholas Rook is a murderer. He killed Toby Feynsham. Ask him why. - Or, a second-person character study of why Nicky did it.
Toby Feynsham & Nicky Rook — Merry Christmas, Please Don’t Call
Smook.
Characters I’d love to lock in a room together and observe from a distance (top to bottom, left to right): Nicky Rook from “Death in the Spires”, Kim Secretan from “The Will Darling Adventures”, Daniel da Silva from “Think of England”….and technically also the will darling adventures I guess,, and last but not least - anachronistic grandpa Julius Norreys from “A Society of Gentlemen” In other news: Ive got the KJC brainworms. again.
I want to latch my teeth onto his head and swing him around like a chewy dog toy
The thing I find the most fascinating about Nicky's story is how ridiculously human it is. How much sense it makes.
Nicky is unequivocally a good person. He likes making people laugh, is passionate about things, and shows a lot of kindness to his friends.
And yet, he killed Toby.
Here are the facts:
Toby was exceedingly cruel and abusive to Nicky for years, both psychologically and physically.
He also took advantage of him by 'kindly permitting' him to give him blowjobs despite being straight and deeply looking down on Nicky's queerness.
Toby was deeply cruel and abusive to every other friend of Nicky's, in ways up to and including blackmailing them about things that could literally get a member (or two, depending on how lenient they'd be with Ella) of the group hanged.
Additionally, the night of the murder, Nicky was given three choices and three choices only:
Turn Aaron and Ella in for their crimes that could literally get them hanged despite being ethically good
Be turned in along with his partner to the police, in a situation where his physically disabled partner would get a forced labor sentence
Let Toby fucking fight him (with a knife or otherwise), probably until he kills him
And then:
Toby had a knife pointed at Nicky and was physically attacking him directly preceding the stabbing.
Nicky had managed to get hold of the knife, which disarmed Toby.
However, Toby was still attacking Nicky.
Nicky theoretically could have reliably incapacitated Toby by stabbing him in the arm or stomach or another non-fatal place. He knew fencing, and he knew how to do that. He seemed to at least sort of have his wits about him.
He actively chose not to do that. Instead, he aimed to kill.
Did he have to stab Toby in the chest? No. He easily could have stabbed him in a way that wouldn't have killed him, or fought him off in a less lethal way.
He would have had to contend with the blackmail the next day, but there's a chance that erratic Toby would have been in a much better mood the next day. Perhaps they could have figured something out. Murder is generally extreme. Maybe.
But, given the facts and Nicky's choices, can any of us really feel confident saying that we would not take that secret fourth choice?
I personally don't think so.
