El cineasta, escritor y artista gráfico residía en la CDMX, falleció por problemas del hígado y cáncer.

Murió el cineasta Nick Zedd en la Ciudad de México a los 63 años. Zedd era un artista 360º, además de su obra en el cine underground fue autor de seis libros, dibujante, pintor y editor de fanzines. En 1985 creó el movimiento post punk “Cine de transgresión” y a lo largo de su carrera escribió, dirigió y actuó en cientos de películas, cortometrajes y series que influyeron a otros cineastas, como los polémicos Gus Van Sant y Lars Von Tiers.
