Bestie, I'm ALWAYS here for my Swiss blorbos 😭. For reference, this is Nico Hischier and Jonas Siegenthaler.
They grew up playing junior hockey together, and when Jonas got traded to Nico's team, he stayed in Nico's flat (oh my god, THEY WERE ROOMMATES). They have private jams to Swiss rap, they meet up in the offseason regularly but "not for workouts," and THEY BAKED BREAD TOGETHER.
I was originally going to write a Chef Jonas AU for hockey big bang, but F1 happened and well. Anyway, here's what I was planning to write!

So for reasons yet to be determined, Jonas quit hockey after his first WJC and went to culinary school instead.
I'm thinking maybe in Washington, he became the sous chef at a Swiss restaurant not unlike Stable. The head-chef owner? Denis Malgin's dad. So for a couple of years, he's happy right? He's dating Denis and he gets to work at a Michelin-starred restaurant. But then shit goes down, and it's a big fucking mess with Denis, and then the break up. And of course, Jonas loses his job.
He decides to open his own restaurant, but he can't do it in DC, obviously. A friend suggests New York, and is like, listen I know a couple of people--maybe you can woo them into becoming investors. Anyway, fast forward a couple of months and he DOES move to NYC and tries to re-set up his life.
His friend is like, Nico Hischier might be interested, and Jonas is all oh. He hasn't spoken to Nico in years. And so like, he borrows a friend's small bistro kitchen late late at night--after a game for Nico--to make his pitch and show Nico his food.
Nico a) doesn't realize it's Jonas, and b) thought it would be some bistro fare from the address. But then he walks in, and there's Jonas, the object his 16-year-old dreams, and Jonas has a whole ass tasting menu planned. For just the two of them.
So like, obviously, Nico's on board etc. And then they start spending more time together because Jonas wants more investors. And he starts using Nico's (unused) beautiful, gleaming kitchen to plan his menus. And then maybe after they win another investor, the adrenaline and happiness of it all, they kiss.
And maybe they start sleeping together until something comes back to remind Jonas of HOW BAD it was to mix business with his love life. And it gets exacerbated by how Nico doesn't get it. Nico isn't one for planning or organization, and he doesn't get the enormity of what Jonas is doing/how much he's put into the whole thing. And he's just like, "well I don't have to be an investor, I can just be your boyfriend." And Jonas is like, even more YOU DON'T GET IT.
Anyway, Nico pulls PK and IDK Mika whatever I gotta finesse that and does this whole pitch that he organized all by himself and then is there to support Jonas quietly when he cooks for them, and then Jonas gets his investors, and he launches, and it's all a big success and then also they make up and make out and bone.
