11th doctor x reader - Break the universe to find you

Prompt: I’d fight angels and demons to find you, my dear

Slapping your hand on your vortex manipulater, you closed your eyes as you travel before opening them again.

You knew you were on earth, that’s it, no clue where, what year or month. Simply just earth.

Your fingers itched to grab the knife from your belt, but you kept it hidden as you wondered around, eyes scanning around for any sign of danger or anything related.

“C’mon Doctor.. where are you...” you whispered.

You took one step and suddenly you were surrounded by soldiers. Whipping the knife out from your belt, you held it tightly as you glared at them all.

“Now, we don’t need any of that.” A woman said.

You glanced at the blond as she came closer, she held her hands up and looked you over. Admittedly you weren’t in the best of conditions, you were covered in dirt and dried blood, you and scared from fights on your arms, a few small ones on your face. Your clothes were a bit dirt and torn in a couple of places, and you looked like you hadn’t slept for years.

“We know who you are.” She said gently, “(Y/N) (L/N).”

You narrowed your eyes and got into a defensive stance.

“Who are you? Tell your men to stand down or I end them where they stand.” You ordered.

Nothing happened for a moment but then she nodded and the soldiers all retreated.

“I’m Kate Stewart, from UNIT. Does that help you remember?”

You wracked your brain but it didn’t work, you couldn’t remember her, or her face, or her name, but UNIT rang a bell.

“No, but I know UNIT.”

“You’re looking for the doctor, aren’t you?”

This time you nodded, looked around anxiously, you were tired, you just wanted to find he doctor.

“We can take you to him, just put your weapon down and come with me.”

She pointed towards a car and you weighed your options. If this was a trap you could easily escape, you’d run and fought more dangerous things than her.

With a nod, you tossed your weapon to the side and followed her into the back of the car, sitting silently.

“What happened to you?” Kate asked you.

“I... I don’t remember... not fully...” you muttered.

“He spent months trying to find you.”

You said nothing and Kate sighed a little, you had changed, that was clear as day.

“Where did you go?”

You said nothing and she stopped pushing. She knew you had a vortex manipulater, so why hadn’t you come straight back to Earth? But the looks of it you took a couple of detours and hand more then a handful of fights.

Everything went silent as you pulled into the London tower and Kate got out, letting you follow behind her.

She went inside and you stood awkwardly in the doorway.

“It’s alright, you can come in. You’re part of UNIT too you know?” She smiled.

You frowned but cautiously followed her, arms folded against your chest as you did.

She talked you through each area, then lead you to the main control room.

“Our top priority is to find the doctor as bring him here.” She ordered.

The She turned to you and gestured to your dirty form.

“Would you like to wash and change, eat?”

“No. I’m fine.”

Kate seemed a little defeated but nodded in understanding.

“If you change your mind let me know.”

You stayed there for a second before slowly walking about, finding a darkish area to sit in, you crouched a watched everyone, your eyes glued to each and every person and object that could pose a threat to you.

You weren’t sure how much time had passed, you had no watch and there was no clock, but when Kate came over with a huge smile you knew they had found him.

“He’s outside.”

Without a word, you stood, retracing your steps to the doorway that led outside then just stood there, letting Kate go out first.

“I don’t like being picked up!” The doctors whinned.

“I’m sorry but we have someone you’d like to see.”

“Oo I love meeting people!” The doctor said excitedly.

Kate turned to you and nodded, but you felt an overwhelming sense to run. You could see him, he couldn’t see you.

He hadn’t changed a bit, the same floppy Brian hair and twinking green eyes that seemed a bit dull now. He wore the same grin, and the saw tweed suit, the same blue bow tie you got him as a present.

Oh how you missed him.

But you couldn’t help but worry.

What if he forgot about you?

What if the doctor didn’t want you back?

What if he knew about what you had to do to get here?

What if he hated you for it?

All these questions ran through your head and Kate saw your reflex to run kicking in. Quickly she ran over and blocked the doctor from your view, and you from his.

“What’s wrong?”

“What if I shouldn’t see him again...?” You said quietly.

“Don’t be daft (Y/N), he misses you. I know he does. Everyone misses the doctor and his girlfriend.”

You smiled sadly and laughed dryly.

“I can’t claim that title anymore.”

Taking a deep breath, you ran a hand through your messy hair.

“Okay... okay I’m ready...”

Kate turned around and walked back over, and you followed close behind, not daring to meet the doctors eyes, but you knew he was watching you. You could feel his gaze burning a hole into you.

“Doctor Who is it...?” A woman next to him asked.

“That’s Clara Oswald.” Kate whispered, “his companion.”

Everything went silent, a heavy tension hung in the air.

“This.. it’s.. that’s impossible! (Y/N) has been missing for 2 years!” The doctor yelled.

You jumped at the loudness, you saw the doctor recoil as well.

Daring to meet his green eyes, they were selling with unshed tears. So, you offered in a weak smile.

“W.. where were you...?” He chocked out.

Walking over, you stood just in front of him before carefully reaching out, placing the palm of your hand on his cheek.

The doctor didn’t think about it, he leant into your touch as if it were his own personal drug. You felt a tear slip down your cheek.

“I.. doctor...”

Immediately the doctor went to pull you into a hug but you grabbed his arm and pulled it behind behind his back before quickly letting go.

“I’m so sorry!” You rushed out, “I’m just.. not good with sudden movements...”

The doctors hearts broke, so slowly, he went to give you another hug, this time checking to make sure you were okay with it before he carefully wrapped his arms around you.

You tensed up first, then relaxed and rested your head on his chest.

“I’m so glad I’ve finally found you...” you muttered.

The doctor kissed the top of your head and sighed.

“How did you find me...?” He asked softly.

You pulled away from the embrace and took his hands in yours, turning your own gaze to his.

“I’d fight angels and demons to find you, my dear.”

The doctor shed his own couple of years and placed his foreheard to yours.

“What happened to you...?”

Placing your hands to his cheeks your slowly leant in and gently pressed your lips to his in a soft kiss before you pulled away.

“That’s a story for another day...” you sighed, “but know I’d break the universe to find you again...”

"She hears voices in her mind, talking of another world lost in time"

Sometimes you could feel his gaze on you. His questioning eyes watching for any sign of the person you were so long ago. His brown eyes would bore deep into your soul as if he was waiting for something to happen and when nothing ever did, he would become frustrated; pulling at his black hair and punching the TARDIS console angrily. But never, not ever, did he take this frustration out on you despite you being the cause of it. Instead his face would tighten into a grimace, a silent reassurance that it wasn't you he was mad at.

He was mad at the universe for taking you away.

Sometimes, on planets billions of lightyears away from Earth, he would grip your hand as if it was his only lifeline. When the sky above you both glistened colours you only saw in your dreams, when it was only the two of you in the dead of night, you saw a side of The Master you wondered if anyone else had seen before. When he looked over at you, his fingers clasped tightly around your own, he would whisper a name you had never heard before but it was oh so familiar and it felt oh so right to hear, but it wasnt your name. And when you said as much he looked disappointed, almost heartbroken.

He was mourning the person you once were.

Sometimes you would dream, about burnt orange skies and silver leafed trees. You would dream about running through the cities with your hand clenched in another's. You would dream about chaste kisses and secret 'I love you's' on the cliffledge overlooking the roaring ocean, away from onlookers, knowing how forbidden your love was. You would awake with a sense of longing for a world you never knew, for a person you never remember, for a comfort you could never find.

You were so close to him, he could physically touch you, but you were so so far away from him.

Sometimes, late at night when the TARDIS lights are dimmed low, you would find yourself walking into the console room with bleary eyes and mismatched pyjamas and he would always be waiting for you, as if he was expecting you. You would tell him about your dreams, the unknown world that woke you up at night, and you could swear you would see sadness touch his eyes as a glimmer of a smile touched the corners of his lips.

And sometimes The Master would tell you a story about an impossible world, he would tell you a story about a person he knew once upon a time. A person who had managed to capture both of his hearts, a person he would burn the universe for. He would tell you of the adventures they had, of how the only time he ever felt okay was with them in his arms. He would tell you a story of the anger and rage he felt when he lost them.

He loved you so desperately, so fully, that he doesnt remember what it was like not to hurt since youve been gone.

He would talk until he would look over at you with a familiar burning behind his eyes, a faniliar pain in his chest, and you would be asleep once again. His hands would find their way into your hair, down to your cheek and finally coming to rest on your neck. If there was one thing that never changed, even if you did, was the way your body melded into his own.

The universe brought you back to him, even if not completely.

Because even though you never remembered him, even though whispers of your previous life together would trickle through your mind as you slept, he could never forget the one person in all of time and space that held his hearts in their hands.

All he has is the memory, and all he yearns is her hand. 

The Master’s mind would not let him forget the way she had looked at him. How her eyes held such misery and disgust when he longed for them to be filled with the warmth they held when they were children. That was a lifetime ago - several in fact - but he would give up everything just to go back and run through the crimson fields with her, but it was all gone now because of him, and there was no taking it back. 

He scoffed as he leaned up against his Tardis console. What was he expecting? Gratitude, certainly, for he had uncovered the lie that had ruined him. The lie that cemented what he knew all along. He would never be good enough for her and he was done with trying. He had tried to change for her when he called herself Missy, but the damaged had already been done. Even back then, the Doctor was out of reach. Walls built tall and strong from the years of betrayal and slaughter. 

Why did he do this to himself? Why did he deny himself happiness? All these years he had blamed it all on the Doctor, but in the end it could do nothing to overtake his relentless self-loathing which was there to remind him that he would always be alone. He was pathetic. He wasn't even good enough to host the Cyberium, It had left his body as soon as they had escaped from Gallifrey, taking his Cybermasters with it and now he was alone. It was what he deserved. 

His shoulders sagged as the exertion of sharing his body began to take its toll. The Cyberium had zapped the energy from his body, but not enough to kill him, a pity. He set the controls and stumbled over to his armchair, slumping into the aged leather. What was he supposed to do now? He looked down his joined hands as they sat limply in his lap and yearned for it to be hers. He remembered how his hand shook as he held it out to her. How she recoiled from him. There was a part of him that wanted to track her down and explain, to throw himself at her feet and beg forgiveness, but he would never allow himself to kneel before the Doctor because if he were to do that - he would be the Master no longer and his name was all he had to cling to. 

He was numb to the sound of the cloister bell as it tolled a warning because all he could hear was her voice. 

He found some comfort in the rising in temperature as the heat burned through the lowered heat shields as he imagined her arms around him. 

His muscles relaxed as his lungs filled with smoke. The familiar feeling of regeneration crept upon him and threatened consume him, but he would not let it happen. Never again.  

He smiled as behind his closed eyes the Doctor was there to guide him home.

How You Say My Name

This is for  @startrekkingaroundasgard birthday writing challenge! I can’t believe I actually wrote something, it’s been so long since I have and I forgot how good it feels. This is a scene exploration/rewrite of one of the final scenes in The Timeless Children. Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: I feel like the world is coming to an end

“Any explosives left?” The Doctor asks Ko Sharmus. She has an idea, but…

“One. Emergencies only,” he pulls the bomb from his belt. Holding it like it would go off any second, which, in the condition it’s in, it could.

“Timer?”

“Hand detonation only.” 

And there it is. Every time. Why can’t she just have one easy win, one without the deadly strings attached,

“Yeah. Course.” A tired smile falls on her lips, attempting to embrace the same old choice, “I’ll take it.” She pulls it from his hands, meeting the dreading look in Ko-Sharmus’ eyes. 

“So, come on. Doc, what’re you thinking?” Graham asks, not quite wanting to accept the plan the Doctor’s slowly been forming. She refuses to look up from the bomb for a second, her racing brain attempting to figure out another way. Any other way. Not one that leaves her friends. Her fam, behind and alone. Again. Her mind can’t help but remember all the other times she’s had to make this choice. Rose. Donna. Amy. Clara. And now them. 

“One option left.” She finally gives in, and looks up. The air feels empty between them, he knows what the Doc plans to do. But he doesn’t want to quite let it be a reality. The Doctor lifts the shrunken cyberman up. She feels the weight of her companions eyes on her, Yaz and Ryan share devastated looks before she continues.

“I have to use the death particle on Gallifrey.” Those words make her plan real, the finality of what she’s choosing to do sinks in, “On my home.” The Doctor’s gaze finally lands on Yaz, her big, beautiful brown eyes wide and scared, “On The Master and his new breed of cybermen.”

“You sure you wanna do that?” Ryan asks, imploring her to give an answer anything but yes, that The Doctor will figure out another way. 

“I’m sure I don’t want to do that,” The Doctor admits, this new regeneration a lot more willing to confess her fears. Her emotions are closer to the surface than they were before, ready to spill over at a moment's notice, “but there’s no alternative. If the Master and the cybermen get off this planet, his home that he burned to the ground. Then what do you think he’s willing to do to a place that he didn’t grow up in? A place that we didn’t share a childhood together? They’ll be unstoppable.” The Doctor allows herself to look at everyone in the room, her family, the last humans from this time, in this corner of the universe that haven’t already been killed, 

“I started this, with Shelley and the Cybrium, now I have to finish it. Alone.” The Doctor finishes, her eyes locking with Yaz’s once again. Her final word brings her back to when she declared in the basement of the mansion in Geneva that, in the end, she’s always alone. At the top of the universe, making the worst kind of decisions. It started when she had to make the choice to burn Gallifrey during the Time War. It’s only fitting that she’s going to die alone, too, making those some of the same choices. Her final word also startles Yaz out of her shock at the Doctor’s plan,

“What?” 

But the Doctor continues as if Yaz hadn’t spoken, “The TARDIS will take you back to Earth. All of you. You can settle in the 21st century.”

“You’re not serious.” Ravio blurts out. She’s not sure how she feels about the Doctor deciding her fate for her. On one hand, they’ll all be safe, the threat of the cybermen gone. But on the other… This time is their home, their dead families are here, and the 21st century, no matter how safe, will bring them back. 

“Deadly.” 

“What about you?” Ryan interjects, “You detonate that thing, you’ll die too. Even with all your power to escape death, no one can escape that. You’ll be gone. Forever.”

“That’s the way it has to be.” She knows that all three of her friends are staring at her, their eyes pleading with her to not do this. But she can’t help but focus on Yaz. Yaz, who’s been all but silent, her inability to speak over the wave of emotions sweeping away any thought clear enough to put into words. 

“And I would do that in a heartbeat for this universe. For you. My fam.” The Doctor finds herself scanning the room again, but somehow, always returning to Yaz. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t look away from the woman she’s become so close with. The woman she’s… The Doctor doesn’t let herself finish that thought, every time she’s had one similar, it’s only ended in pain. She abruptly turns away and makes her way to the TARDIS exit, the longer she stays in here with them, the harder it’ll be to leave. 

“We’re not letting you go.” Yaz races forward, “You’re not doing this!” She pulls the Doctor’s arm back, grabbing her hand, using every ounce of her soul to plead with the Doctor, her new universe, to stop. To not leave her.

“Get off me, Yaz!” The Doctor tries to stop her voice from breaking, but it does so anyways, slipping through the facade she tries so hard to keep up for her friends. She turns to face Yaz, letting herself search every shade of brown that Yaz’s eyes seems to hold. She sees her eyes fill with tears, and she can’t stop her own from doing the same. In the past, it was always them who left her, whether by choice or by the will of the universe, but this time it was the Doctor’s choice. And somehow that made it a thousand times more painful. She strives to communicate that with Yaz, that it’s not easy. It’s not easy to leave behind the person you care about so much, but it’s better than letting you both die. 

“Yaz. Please.” The Doctor continues, she begs Yaz to make this a little bit easier. And for a moment, Yaz lets her, nodding ever so slightly, as if saying, Fine. I’ll let you go. But I’ll hate you for it.

The room is silent, and Yaz fights every muscle in her body to not grab the Doctor, to stop her from leaving any way possible, even if it means confessing to something she’s tried so hard to push past. 

“Yaz.” Ryan starts. Graham jumps, not expecting Ryan to speak, “Come on.” 

Even though she half agreed to the Doctor leaving just a few seconds ago, she can’t get herself to step back. Words force their way past her lips, if the Doctor’s going to sacrifice herself for them, for her, how can she stay silent,

“No. You can’t leave us. Leave me. How you say my name… That tells me more than a thousand words. I can’t ignore that, and neither should you. And if I’m right, then how are you okay with leaving us alone. Without you. You’ve become my life, and there were times I wondered how long I could go on, but now I’m realizing, I don’t know how to go on without you.” The air is heavy, her words filling the space between the two of them. The Doctor’s eyes still try to say more than her words could. The words that normally talk their way out of problems, nowhere to be found. For some reason, she can’t.

“Live great lives.” The Doctor turns as if Yaz hadn’t just poured her heart out. The finality of the words she just spoke press down heavily on her shoulders. She’s said something similar before, to Rose, to someone who she had never quite admitted her feelings for. Letting her go for the sake of the universe. And now, she’s doing it again. 

“No!” Yaz screams. She tries to grab the Doctor again, to pull her in and never let her go, but before she can, Ryan’s arms trap her. She struggles to get free, to stop the Doctor from being able to step through the doors of the TARDIS. 

“I’m sorry,” The Doctor says, before shutting the doors behind her. She falls against the TARDIS, her legs not able to hold her up. She can hear Yaz’s sobs echo through the cracks of the door. She forces her feet to move, away from Yaz and towards the Master. She moves numbly through the halls of her home, and hears the TARDIS’s comforting noise fade into nothingness as it takes her fam back to theirs.

In the TARDIS, Yaz goes limp in Ryan’s arms, hardly registering Ko Sharmus’ movements as he slips through the doors just before it leaves Gallifrey, not quite realizing what it could mean for the Doctor. All she knows is that The Doctor left her. She left her without saying anything but “Live great lives.” Those words feel empty, how is she supposed to live a great life without the Doctor? All the good they did together, all the lives they saved, all their adventures, and it’s over. 

“I know it feels like the world is ending right now, Yaz, but the Doctor gave us the chance to go on. To live our lives and take all we learned and all our memories with us, she’ll never truly be gone, Yaz.” Ryan murmurs gently, not letting Yaz fall.

The TARDIS shakes as it lands, and Yaz pushes herself to support her own weight and walk out the doors, only not to Gallifrey or some strange, new planet,

“We’re home. She got us home.”

HYDRA era todo lo que habías conocido durante tu vida, no había sido como si hubieses tenido muchas opciones.

Recordabas a la perfección, cada detalle del día en el que tus padres habían sido asesinados e HYDRA te había acogido y creciste en las instalaciones de la organización, fuiste a su Academia donde también te entrenaron, básicamente eras quien eras gracias a la infame organización.

Entraste a la sala de tu casa abrazando a tu oso de peluche como solías hacerlo y viste a tus papás acostados en el piso, se te hizo raro, ellos no te permitían hacer eso.

 — ¿Mami?—la llamaste a la vez que te acercabas a donde ella estaba.

No respondió, la moviste un poco y viste que había sangre debajo de ella, no comprendías bien lo que pasaba, tan solo tenías cuatro años, te acercaste a tu papá, quizás él te respondería.

— ¿Papi?—lo llamaste.

De nuevo silencio, ¿estaban enojados contigo y por eso no querían hablarte?

Unos hombres de HYDRA entraron y te vieron, estaban al tanto de tu existencia ya que tus padres trabajaban para ellos, de los científicos más valiosos para la organización, pero estaban sorprendidos de que estuvieras viva, te llevaron con ellos no sin antes dejar que eligieras algunas cosas para llevarte, te aseguraron que te llevarían a un lugar donde estarías a salvo, quizás serías productiva, sin contar que contigo podían probar algún experimento.

—Todo estará bien pequeña, nos haremos cargo de ti tus padres hicieron un gran trabajo para nosotros—te dijo uno de los jefes.

No soltabas el oso de peluche que te había regalado en tu último cumpleaños que celebraron juntos, no bias porqué tus papás no estaban contigo en ese lugar, ni dónde estabas.

A los pocos minutos otro hombre entró, pero esta vez con una mujer.

—Ella es Ethel y te va a cuidar, ella es T/N, sobrevivió al ataque—informó el jefe.

Ethel se acercó a ti y se agachó en cuclillas para quedar a tu altura.

— ¿Cuándo van a venir mis papis por mí?—preguntaste con inocencia.

—Oh…querida

— Mami me prometió que el sábado iríamos los tres a la feria—continuaste.

—Gente muy mala los mató por eso ahora yo te voy a cuidar—explicó Ethel.

La miraste sin entender.

— ¿Ya no van a regresar? ¿Ya no me quieren?—preguntaste casi llorando.

—Ellos te quieren, pero ya no respiran

— ¿Cómo mi pez cuando lo saqué del agua?

—Así es.

— ¿Vas a ser mi nueva mami?—cuestionaste.

—Si me quieres considerar así, entonces lo seré.

Te tomó de la mano y salieron hacia donde sería tu nueva habitación.

 Durante unos años en tu adolescencia, estuviste bajo la tutela del varón Strucker, por lo que no sabías si tus poderes si habías nacido con tus poderes o eran consecuencia de un experimento, sin embargo te habías adaptado rápidamente a ellos.

—T/N es una de las mejores agentes que hemos tenido en la Academia, un claro ejemplo de lo que pasa cuando se entrenan desde pequeños—dijo con orgullo Strucker.

—Será muy útil tenerla como agente encubierta en S.H.I.E.L.D. —comentó Pierce.

Mezclarte y hacer tu trabajo en S.H.I.E.L.D. había sido muy fácil, nadie sospechaba quienes ni cuantos estaban infiltrados, claro que todos los agentes dobles tenían conocimiento de sus compañeros, así era más fácil mantener el control de cualquier situación.

—T/N—te saludó Steve.

—Cap.

—Hmm te traje esto no sé si todavía se sigue haciendo—te dijo dándote una rosa.

La tomaste, no sabías que hacer con ella, sentías como una sensación de calor se apoderaba de tus mejillas.

—Gracias, es la primera vez que alguien me regala una—dijiste.

Steve sonrió.

—Quizás debas ponerla en agua—sugirió.

—Deberías salir con Cameron—comentó de pronto Natasha.

— ¿Disculpa?  —Nunca te visto tener una cita—prosiguió.

—He tenido muchas citas con ninguno de mis compañeros—dijiste.

—O vamos es una mentira puedes invitarlo a salir, no es necesario que tengan relaciones en la primer cita, pero si quieres puedes perder la virginidad con él.

—No soy virgen, quizás hasta me he acostado con más personas que tú, de hecho para tu información tengo una cita.

— ¿Qué? ¿Con quién?—preguntó.

Sin respondérsele saliste del lugar.

No soportabas del todo a Romanoff, ella siempre estaba tratando de emparejarte con alguien.

Te habían enseñado que el amor era para débiles, que cualquier tipo de sentimiento no era admitido si se quería triunfar.

Nunca habías planeado el enamorarte de él, simplemente había pasado, sabías que si tu nana lo supiera probablemente estaría decepcionada de ti, pero a decir verdad envidiabas a esas parejas en el parque cuando las veías, nunca habías creído que hacer o vivir algo así fuera posible hasta que conociste a Steve.

Tampoco era como si fuera una misión para ti, de hecho en un principio habías negado lo que sentías por él, sabias que si alguien se enterara las cosas se podrían turbias, lo único bueno es que Steve no parecía molestarle tener la relación en secreto.

Steve había hecho que sintieras y conocieras cosas que en tu vida habías pensado

Cuándo comenzaste tener sentimientos por el Steve creíste que había algo mal contigo, incluso llegaste a pensar que te habías enfermado.

Nunca te atreviste a decirle la verdad, él tenía la idea de que con la desaparición de Cráneo Rojo, HYDRA había desaparecido.

Steve te había enseñado muchas cosas, realmente te habías enamorado de él y viceversa, tenías miedo de lo que pasaría si se enterara de quien eras verdaderamente.

Varias veces pensaste en renunciar a HYDRA,  pero sabías que ellos no te iban a permitir que te fueras, lo más probable era que te mataran o que le hicieran daño a Steve, sentías que estabas atada de manos, no parecía que hubiera algo que pudieses hacer.

Si se llegaba todo lo que habías hecho en todos esos años, no podías negarlo, al final del día eres una asesina y habías cometido muchos crímenes el nombre de HYDRA

—T/N, ¿qué significa esto?—preguntó Steve.

Viste lo que te estaba mostrando, Steve había descubierto información de una de tus misiones de HYDRA.

Todo parecía que tu peor pesadilla se estaba haciendo realidad, tomaste aire para tratar de controlar tu voz.

—Steve, puedo explicarlo…

— ¿Has perdido la cabeza?

—Te juro que hay una buena explicación, solo escúchame—pediste.

— ¿Qué vas a explicarme? ¿Vas a negar que eres HYDRA?—atacó.

—Sí lo soy, pero no es lo que crees…

— ¿Fui una maldita misión para ti?

Pudiste ver en sus ojos que estaba herido, si tan solo te escuchaba podrías explicarle todo y que él nunca fue una misión y tus sentimientos por él eran reales.

—No, de ninguna manera, yo en verdad te amo, pero hay una razón…

—Ninguna razón es válida—te interrumpió.

—Steve escúchame…

—No, no quiero saber de ti.

Te tomó del brazo, forcejearon un poco, pero terminó sacándote del departamento.

—Steve, por favor...

Te cerró la puerta, estuviste tocando un rato y suplicando sin éxito.

Estaba sola, no tenías amigos ni a donde ir, la única persona que amabas ahora te odiaba.

Revisaste tus bolsillos, el dinero que tenías ahí era poco, no tenías tus tarjetas ni llaves, aunque encontraste tu celular ahí, comenzaste a buscar en los contactos, no estaba segura de tener el número de la persona a la que estabas pensando llamar, sin embargo lo encontraste, por unos segundos dudaste en marcarle, pero lo hiciste mientras tus los nervios crecían

— ¿Podemos vernos?, tengo algo que contarte—pediste.

Ella aceptó y ambas llegaron al lugar acordado, no era un lugar público, sabías que tendrías que pagar por lo que habías hecho, pero no importaba.

— ¿De qué se trata?—preguntó Maria.

—Tengo información…confidencial e importante—respondiste.

— ¿Qué clase de información?—inquirió interesada.

—HYDRA se infiltró en S.H.I.E.L.D.

— ¿Qué?

—Yo soy parte de sus agentes, creo que mis padres también pertenecían, después de que ellos fueron asesinados, HYDRA me tomó bajo su cuidado—explicaste.

Le contaste el resto de tu historia, ella te escuchaba atenta.

—Solo me queda una duda, ¿por qué lo dices ahora?

—Steve lo descubrió y me dejó, yo lo amo, supongo que ahora él me odia, HYDRA fue todo lo que había conocido en mi vida hasta que él apareció—respondiste.

— ¿Está dispuesta a colaborar?

—Ya no tengo nada que perder, lo he perdido todo así que diré todo lo que sé.

Les habías dicho la ubicación de una de las bases más importantes de HYDRA, habían preparado un ataque sorpresa, durante el camino Steve no te dirigió la palabra.

Sin embargo no les habías dicho que tenían algo muy importante ahí, ibas a ir a conseguirlo para ellos, sabias que era peligroso pero no importaba.

—T/N, ¿a dónde vas?—te preguntó Steve.

—Tengo una misión importante.

Lo viste, querías ir y correr a besarlo, suplicarle por su perdón si era necesario.

— Nunca quise romperte el corazón.

Él te miró fijamente.

—Espero poder redimir algún día todo lo que hice, pero si quiero que sepas que nunca fuiste una misión y mis sentimientos por ti son reales—continuaste.

—María me contó lo que pasó, lo siento, no tuviste opciones, eras una niña.

Asentiste, sabías que no debías tardarte más o no podrías conseguirlo.

— No tengo mucho tiempo, pero solo quiero decirte que te amo.

— ¿Por qué?

—Tengo otra misión.

—Voy contigo.

—No, tú tienes cosas importantes aquí, yo soy la única que conoce la clave.

Le diste un beso y te fuiste, tenías que conseguirlo.

—Te amo—murmuró.

Habías logrado llegar, tomaste el objeto, de pronto se escuchó una explosión y todo se volvió oscuro.

Steve fue de inmediato al lugar al escuchar que el ruido provenía de la dirección a donde habías ido, debía encontrarte, arreglarían las cosas y serían felices juntos.

Te encontró inconsciente.

—T/n despierta, por favor—pidió.

Habían pasado dos semanas desde ese incidente, Steve iba diario a visitarte, ese día no lo dejaban pasar a tu habitación, de pronto salió Maria.

—Lo siento, Cap, no resistió—le informó.

—Espero que algún día puedas perdonarme, debí haberte escuchado ese día; no tienes ni idea de cuánto te extraño, te amo—dijo Steve.

Dejó la rosa frente a tu tumba antes de irse, diario iba a visitarte.
