I listened to podcast and I just keep getting the impression that Lewis meant the world to Nico, now he is not there, Nico feels a part that is empty in his life. As for Lewis, I just think he doesn’t want to get hurt again become vulnerable to that pain after what happened between them so the best solution for him was to push Nico away. Both paying the consequences.

I get what you mean about how sad it seems between nico and lewis but at the end of the day we don't know what went down between them and maybe it's better this way? At least they're not completely cut off from each other (extreme e battles lol)

Yup. Some friendships are just not meant to last and it might be healthier that way. God knows I've experienced friendships like that and sometimed it's best to leave them in the past and move on but I also feel quite bad for the younger them. The ones who climbed all over each other and crashed at each other's houses, fixed each other's karts and hugged like giddy little kids when they did well in a race. Like I'll totally respect whatever Lewis decides but if there is just the tiniest chance of them making up I'm 100% there for it.

You know what, the greatest rivalry in F1 should between Sebastian Vs Valterri on who loves Lewis the most, add Pierre in there two while at it.

I feel sorry for Nico, I think he thought that when he got out of F1 he and Lewis would be friends again, but this makes me question how much Nico knows about Lewis, because Lewis seems to be one of those people who doesn't forgive and in some cases he can even forgive but he doesn't forget, besides Lewis already said he has difficulty trusting people and what Nico did to Lewis may have been like a betrayal and breach of trust

Well we don't know Lewis personally either so one could argue that Nico might have expected Lewis to forgive him since well, he knows Lewis and maybe Lewis always forgave him and he forgave Lewis in return and that was just how their friendship worked and maybe he underrestimated how much his actions hurt Lewis specifically because Lewis trusted him and now Nico is left confused and hurt because he never thought he was like other people to his childhood friend and Lewis is left hurt and sad because he never thought Nico would go that far because Nico was his friend and not like other people.

Perphaps the trust they had in each other was taken for granted by Nico and taken to heart by Lewis.

Of course this is all speculations but it would be interesting wouldn't it that Nico knowing Lewis too well was blinded by the friendship he thought could weather anything.
