Somebody asked for me to explain the Night and Day thing so I’m going to oblige.

Every character in the core cast of Nightbound has theming/motifs that have something to do with their relation to night (the Cantresprouts/the monster world) and the day (the status quo/ general society)

Amalia- Darkness

The night is where she belongs and she’s generally unwelcome in the day. Light seeker is something that represents her wanting to exist in the day, which is a reference to how she became a vampire unwillingly.

Poxinnis- Owl

Pox has the big circle glasses and is a bookworm type, often associated with an owl. This is in reference to how he is a creature of the night and how being a vampire suits him more than being a human had.

Adam- Sun/Stars

The sun is a star which means the stars are something that exists in the day and the night. This theming is referencing how Adam, as a damphir, can function in both the human and the monster world.

Quinnis- the sunrise

The sunrise starts with night and becomes day.

Piznip- the moon

This one is a thinker and I won’t elaborate

Aileai- Light

Light is something that you need in order to comfortably access the night which is a reference to how Aileai serves as a bridge between the Cantresprouts and the rest of the monster world.

Azler- no theme

Azler doesn’t have a theme in relation to the night or the day because he’s been exiled from both.

Rozwilde- The Night Sky

This is a reference to how Roz is a bottom (the stars are in the night sky)
