IN THE NIGHT, I AM ENDLESS 🩸 Revisiting a comic I originally made for Black Indie Comix Club's Black & Bloody vampire anthology! A small batch of this version will be coming with me to the Brooklyn Independents Comics showcase next weekend! It can also be purchased digitally on my Patreon ;)
These losers will be the end of me
Some other ppl better start hyper fixating on Nightbound soon bc I can’t be the only one acting silly in these tags.
Outfit exploration for two main characters. I have names picked out but I’m not sure if I’m vibing with them. I might change them.

PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on a mail-in order form for both "Tomb of Dracula" AND "Howard the Duck" in B&W magazine format, published by the Marvel Magazine Group, c. 1977 -- "Checks or money orders only. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks on delivery."
Yes, this is the whopping THIRD time I've posted the above 1977 "Howard the Duck" and "Tomb of Dracula" horizontal, vintage Marvel house ad on Tumblr. I swear, this is the last time I will be posting it, though! Third time's the charm, am I right?

I bought all four issues of this at once some months ago, and let them sit in my TBR pile for a while. I wish I'd read them earlier so I could've added the series to my subscription list, because this was good. It's a lot of wild vampire nonsense done with verve and style. If you like modern vampires that lean into the monstrous and magical, chances are good you'll dig this.
The influence of Vampire the Masquerade practically screams at you from the first few pages, but it's not just another version of that series.
The art has that great expressive, yet detailed approach that really works for me. I love when cartooning is used to express emotion, character, and action, while the world it all happens in feels solid and gritty.
I've ordered the trade paperback that collects the second half of the series. I hope we see a lot more of this.
