16: A kiss in the rain

As if they weren't already an unusual sight walking hand-in-hand down a New York street together. Well, he was. The brunette at his side would have drawn looks all on her own, but purely for her beauty. But when the sudden downpour began, she and her blue companion must have been even more of a sight. Rather than run for shelter as most others had, they stayed standing in the rain, laughing and turning their faces up to the clouds.

Rapunzel's laugh pulled at Kurt's heart as it always had, and he watched her as she held out her arms and spun beneath the raindrops, her hair and clothes already soaked through. She was a vision, a marvel to behold as she stood in the gentle summer rain. Kurt smiled and reached for her hand, drawing her close. He wiped some water and wet strands of hair from her face before he leaned in to steal a lingering kiss.

Oho. He had really just intended to be playful and silly with that bit of flirtation, but it had worked much better than he had expected. And who could say no to that smile of hers? "Breaks are good," Kurt mused with a thoughtful little nod of his head.

And then, in a split second, he had teleported right to Rapunzel's side. He wasted no time in letting his lips find her own, or his arms wrapping around her waist.
