Wake up, Martha~!
Balthazar sighed, rubbing his eyes. After being surrounded by people constantly over the last few weeks, spending the night awake by himself was incredibly boring. He'd had Cassie and Gabriel and Tosh, but now suddenly Martha was asleep and he was left alone.
He turned his head and checked the clock above the fireplace. 7am. That was an appropriate time for a human to be waking up, right? He thought about it for a moment, but eventually decided it didn't matter. So what if it was too early? She'd just have to deal with it, because he was bored and she was the only one around.
Mind made up, he pushed himself up off of the lounge and strolled languidly to the bedroom door, movements fluid, arms swinging back and forth. He didn't bother knocking on the door, just pushed it open and walked straight in. It was his flat after all.
Martha was asleep, blanket wrapped close around her, on her side in the fetal position. She was breathing softly, the expression on her face calm and peaceful. Clearly she was resting well.
Balthazar, of course, was about to put an end to that.
"Martha!" he called, walking up to the bed and ripping the covers off of her body. "Get up! I'm bored."
He grabbed her shoulder and shook her, hardly gentle. In fact, quite the opposite.
"Martha, damn it, get up!" he said, voice too loud. Her body tensed, it was clear she was waking up. "I'm bored, and you're the only human around that'll bother with me!"
Martha just scrunched up her face, and pulled the blankets in closer around her.
"I'll make you breakfast?" he offered, as it became obvious that being rough would not be helping his cause. "Those angel-Grace omelettes you 'hate'?"
