"Cause I'm just a kid and life is a Nightmare..."
Like...literally. After being without a job for quite a long period because of my cervical problems, one of my friends introduced me to the Horror House in Budapest. It's a 25-30 min interactive live show (in english or in hungarian, depending on the visitors) with real actors, spooky stories and lot of jumpscares. A unique place with creative set up and also has an escape room and a coffin escape game for couples.
I auditioned on the next opening and worked with the group for almost a full year in the house, occasionally on horror movie premiers and in the Austrian Family Park for the Halloween season. It was a great experience, a little returning to performing and definitely a lot of development in creativity, improvisation and my verbal skills. Not only we came up with our own characters, but also the stories we told to our visitors. Therefore every day was a different set up and a new challenge.
I left this april with a bittersweet feeling to return to teaching dance and fitness, but I'm taking with me great memories.

A 2023-as évem dióhéjban...
Miután elég hosszú időre munka nélkül maradtam a gerincsérveim mitatt, egy jóbarátom elvitt a budapesti horror házba. Egy igazán kreatív, hátborzongató hely, ahol egy interaktív 25-30 perces horror túrán vehet részt az ember, élő színészekkel. Az előadás különböző szobákon és bizarr sztorikon visz keresztül rengeteg ijesztéssel. (Angolul vagy magyar nyelven, a vendégektől függően.) Emellett van egy szabaduló szobájuk, illetve egy páros koporsó szabaduló játék is.
Természetesen a legközelebbi adandó alkalommal jelentkeztem munkára, és miután felvételt nyertem, egy évet dolgoztam a csapattal a házban, néha mozi premiereken, valamint az Osztrák Family Parkban is a Halloweeni szezonban. Amellett, hogy fantasztikus élmény volt kicsit visszatérni az előadóművészethez, kreativitásban és főképp az improvizációs készségemben, illetve a beszédkészségemben éreztem óriási fejlődést a munka által. Mivel nem csak hogy saját magunk alkottuk meg a karaktereinket, de a vendégeknek előadott sztorit és jeleneteket is mi találtuk is és állítottuk be, így minden nap új kihívás volt számunkra.
Keserédes szájízzel vettem búcsút a helytől most áprilisban, hogy vissztérjek eredeti hivtásomhoz a tánchoz és edzősködéshez, de rengeteg jó emléket viszek innen magammal.
Mindenkinek jószívvel ajánlom, hogy látogasson el erre a fantasztikus helyre, ha egy kicsit is szereti a horror műfajt.
