Night on Broadway

What a time to be alive and be in Los Angeles. That's the sum of just how amazing experience I had this past Saturday. So for people who don't know the night on Broadway is full day festival level event that had Broadway the street shut down from 1st to Olympic Blvd. There were so many wonderful things to choose from, but I being the newly added to the Downtown Weekly team was working my booth for the start of the event. Once my shift was over the first thing I needed to do was eat so I decided to try one of the many different food trucks sooo many selections from bbq trucks Asian fusion Thai food Vegan food and Seafood tacos their was a food truck for every appetite. After I got some nourishment I decided to head over to the wonderful Silent Disco. Silent disco is a party where the actual music is being played through special headphones that they hand out for free and each headphone has more than one channel on it for you to listen to multiple djs at the same party. Best experiences of this is being able to connect with people without being verbal just off of body movements and overall food vibes. I absolutely love these parties and I recommend going to one if you haven't. Anyways after that I went to check out the world of V.R. (Virtual Reality) this area offered up multiple games and interactive hands on booths. The best one was the virtual reality theater that offered up the V.R. experience to a whole audience without the use of glasses. It was one of the more psychedelic experiences I've ever had. Again a must to do activity.

After this I went on to meet up with some more of the downtown weekly staff at the beer garden where they not only had some classic beer games with twist you could also see the pianist high rise performance. I went on to play in a very intense game of Jenga with total strangers, but after this thrilling game they are friends of the night. Which was one of the best things about the Night on Broadway event was meeting new people making new memories. After this thunderous victory I was personally riding a high I was pumped up so then I knew the only way to end off a night was dancing the night away.

The last spot me and the squad deciding to end the night was the LGBTQ outside rave offered up some of the best DJ sets of the whole night. Not only was the music perfect the atmosphere was the best being located on 4th and Broadway we were able to see all the best buildings making the best views of the whole night. All in all the night was a success and I hope this leads to more events like these happening in the greatest city in America, LA.
