Night Time Reflections.

Sometimes I wonder why, just why. 

Why do I live where I do, despite feeling alive in an environment so different. Why do I feel so much older than the young body I'm trapped in? Why am I so weird, why do people accept me? Why can't I be happy with myself, how I look, my skills? Why do I let words, spoken so long ago, cut me so deeply? Why do I long for things I'll never have, love I'll never share?

Sometimes its so hard to continue on, but I do, day by day, looking ahead. One day, the things I've waited so long for will finally become real, and I'll revel in and relish them. But until then, I'll just be here.

Another day. One foot in front of the other until that anticipated day comes. 

I'll answer the questions of my heart another day.
