did you get your name from somewhere/something specific? scrolling past it, i got hit with a vague sort of half memory of.. ?? maybe a video game? there was a tree, full of twinkling lights, related to building a.. staff?

Personal mythology that I developed in college! Nighttree is a world tree suspended in space, surrounded by three moons, and full of glowing fruits and flowers that echo the stars on every side. Each one of the stars is a world belonging to the goddess Inone, who lives in the upper branches of Nighttree with her pantheon of demigods, the Colors. The lower branches and the field around the trunk hold cities where the souls of the favored dead reside.
It's juuuuust possible that you saw one of my stories about it at some point. One of the Colors, Boreal, is a wizard who was given a new staff by Inone after his original one broke in battle, and he does tend to bring it up because he's very honored. I haven't shared those with very many people, though, so I'd be curious to know where you ran into it!
