Aiden made a new ‘friend.’
@gruntadminloch
Benji feels exhausted, worn down by the past sleepless nights where he endured the weird mood swings Aiden had been going through. Ever since he returned after having been missing for three days he had been acting...strange. Benji had been subjected to off the wall questions, being snapped at for some of the most mundane things, having Aiden constantly stare at him, and even had some rather unwanted physical contact from his best friend.
He had tried to question the blond grunt, only for the other to switch the questioning around or just avoid it altogether. He hadn’t heard of anyone else having any problems with Aiden, so he figured it was best to keep what has been happening to himself.
Although he was a bit ashamed to say that he was relieved they were being assigned different tasks tonight. Benji was being put on as a guard on the second floor of Shady House, while Aiden was being sent out on patrol duty. It was a brief relief for the dark haired Grunt as he trudged upstairs. A few of his friends had been rather worried for him, seeing as how the past few days had taken a noticeable physical toll on him. He felt a bit guilty for making them worry, but he couldn’t just outright put the blame on Aiden. Something had happened during those three days he went missing, and Benji would make sure to find out what.
He eventually made it to his post, catching a glimpse of Loch near the window entrance. He gave a meek wave, not wanting to come off as unfriendly. After all, besides Aiden he didn’t have many friends: something which Aiden had been insistent on reminding him of that fact for the past few days.
Benji shook his head to clear away the thoughts. He needed to focus. Sure nothing really happened on Night watch, but it was a duty for a reason. One could never be too sure.
(( Alright a bit of a call for who would want a rp/interaction with Nihilego!Aiden. Note that he may not seem too different at first, but his actions will become much more dramatic and dark themes may occur. Any interactions will be tagged under Nihilego!Aiden as this is an Au scenario.))
(( Food for thought: Remember what Nihilego did to Lusamine to warrant what she did to her own children? Remember who is not only the closest person to Aiden, but also shares a room with him :) ))
Aiden carefully stepped over a log before returning to his texting, his shiny Rockruff Juliet at his heel. He was scouting the woods outside Route 17 for any potential Pokemon Team Skull might find use for.
To be honest, Aiden only took the mission so that he could stretch his legs and get some fresh air. The past few days it had been a torrent of rain, and he wasn’t talking about the light showers Po Town was known for constantly having. This past storm had warranted a near flooding, keeping most of Team Skull at bay from wanting to leave the safety of Po Town.
However, the skies were looking almost clear, with a barely noticeable drizzle raining down. That lightened Aiden’s mood a bit, especially with all the running around Benji and he had been doing. Speaking of Benji, the guy had been acting a bit strange lately...
Aiden shrugged it off, instead opting to send his best friend a quick joke he thought of, before returning to texting some of the other grunts he knew. Alena, Thomas, Raile...He even texted Big Boss and Sis for a little bit.
Aiden paused as Juliet suddenly gave a growl, stopping right in front of him as her fur began bristling and she began letting out shrill barks. Aiden frowned, eyes narrowing as he looked around.
“What is it Juliet?” He muttered to the dog-like Pokemon, eyes scanning the forest for anything that might have warranted Juliet’s sudden reaction. Blue eyes widened as he caught sight of a thing line of...light. Bright, fluorescent light spilled out of what seemed to be a crevice in the air, and Aiden cursed as it began widening. He had enough old pals that worked with Aether, so he had a pretty good idea as to what this was.
Should he attempt to run? Grab Juliet and book it as fast as he could back to Po Town? But what if it followed him, and he would lead whatever was coming through straight to his home.
Should he stay and try to fight it? He had most of his Pokemon on him, and he heard that they could faint or be chased away.
So lost in his thought as he glared at the widening rift in front of him, the blond Grunt failed to notice two more thin rifts opening up behind him...
Three days later...
