I commissioned the awesome @niklisson to make a happy ending artwork with Solas and Scarlet (what else could I have asked at this point? :’D ) and the result is GORGEOUS! Look at those smiles and colors, they are incredible ;_; Thank you so much for this!
“Cast down by his divine peers, Novak, or ‘Nova’ as his worshippers called him, is the eldest child of the Divine Trinity. While his younger siblings were known for their righteousness, diligence, kindness, and love for their people, Novak was known to be a man of deceit and self-importance, often abusing his powers for the sake of his own amusement.
Many have claimed Novak to be the root cause of The Fall, but no genuine evidence has ever been brought forth to support such an accusation. Despite this, his peers banished him from the holy lands, forsaking him to the mercies of the realms beyond.”
So excited I was able to commission the incredibly talented @niklisson! It was such a pleasure to work with you, and to see you bring my beautiful boy to life. I’m eager to commission you again in the future! Thank you so, so much!
I commissioned the lovely @niklisson for a small commission for my Half Elf Bard Ellashan and her werewolf beau, Arthas.
Really digging how it turned out.
((Short drabble about these nerds under the cut))
Arthas quickly made it known that he was not the sort to check in at the gate and wait to be announced. Much to Basrag’s chagrin, the druid would simply let himself in after flying over the walls of the Keep and would proceed strolling about like he owned the place. When it was clear that no one was going to try and curb his behavior, at least successfully, the guards just quickly left him to his own devices. Which more often than not led him to Ellashan. He would stop in occasionally to talk with the others but more often than not he would seek out her company first. She found herself in the habit of cracking a window open as part of her routine before she settled in work. It was a way of letting him know where she was and that it was alright to disturb her. A precautionary measure so that the strange druid didn’t startle a guard in the hallways when he had to stop and ask where she was.
While she was, in a sense, inviting him, she never quite knew when he might come by for a visit. As such, there had been several times she had been so engrossed in what she was doing that he startled her with his sudden appearance. The mischievous side of him couldn’t help but have fun with it. It became a game, to see if she would notice him before he surprised her. One of her proudest moments was the day she had anticipated his arrival and managed to hear the flutter of wings at her windowsill. Head slightly cocked for the sound of a soft footfall behind her before she raised her hand and held up fresh cup of tea for him without looking up from her book.
Arthas takes the offered cup out of her loose grip, his curled fingers barely brushing hers, “Tea? You’ve been spending too much time with Byron.”
She replied without looking up the pages, "Or maybe you're losing your touch, my fine druid."
“Ohhh ok, we’ll see,” his voice carried the honeyed tones that conveyed that her challenge was accepted. Ellashan hides a playful smirk behind her book.
The next time he came to see her he flew in as an insect. No fluttering wings this time to give him away. He hovered over her shoulder for a moment before transforming into a bear. He roars at her causing her to practically leap out of her skin. Tea goes flying.
"Gods!” She pressed a hand her to chest, trying to keep her heart from pounding out of her ribcage, “Ah! My book!" She scrambles to find something to blot the pages with before she remembers she can magic the liquid away. She turns to give the laughing bear in her room an indignant frown, "Found that funny, did you?"
“Very funny,” Arthas slumps down onto a chair lazily and stares at Ellashan, smiling “I mean, you did ask for it.”
The picture of maturity, she sticks her tongue out at him. "I don't know what you're talking about. You must be imagining things. I'm going to have to start keeping the windows shut." It was an empty threat and they both knew it. She straightened herself up, desperately trying to hide her racing heart behind assumed propriety, "Some might say it is highly improper for you to just let yourself in my rooms, you know."
“Oh, some might say that, aye,” He flashes his pearly whites at her, “but that is what being raised in a weird forest community does to you!” He finishes with a wink.
She turns back to her book, setting back into the large chair and with a feigned indifference but her tone remains playful, "Must be why I let you. You don't know any better."
“Yeah, that’s me. Insane wild man!” Arms crossed behind his head, a proud, self-amused grin unwavering on his lips.
She snorts derisively, "I don't know about insane. You seem very capable of using doors. You just choose not to."
“You’re correct, I choose not to, much more fun to scare you!”
"You have an odd notion of fun." She glances up at him over the corner of her book, one sardonic eyebrow raised, "Don't you ever get bored watching me read?"
“Never.”
Pleased blush crosses her cheeks that she quickly hides with the book. She takes a moment to clear her throat, "Let me know if that ever changes. In the meantime..." she leans back in her chair to get comfortable before setting her feet up on one corner of his chair, "Do you mind if I put my feet here? You're very warm and some daft idiot left the window open and it's getting cold out."
