Favorite moments in timber fics where Bernard gets introduced to the the fam. Whenever damian meets Bernard and realizes he actually likes him so he immediately questions why he's with Tim's bumass

Bernard: Here, I made wraps, Tim told me you were vegetarian and like being able to see all the ingredients so I thought you might like it!

Damian: Mm, you said you're looking to go through culinary school?

Bernard: Hopefully, I'm in university right now though, double majoring chemistry and engineering

Damian: ... Drake tells me you were quite social in highschool.

Bernard: Yeah I was a bit of a people person, I just care about people a lot I guess ya know?

Damian: ... You're intelligent, skilled in the culinary arts, and greatly likable to most people.

Bernard: Guess so 😁

Damian: *stares at Tim*

Damian" *turns back to Bernard* You could do so much better

Something I like about Bernard that I've seen referenced a lot but I haven't seen talked about is his craftiness in a fight. Bernard learned martial arts from I'm assuming professionals, but he's also a gothamite. And that means he's a crafty fucker who can work with what he's got. His favorites are clearly heavy bludgeoning weapons, bats, chairs, pipes, probably a crowbar- and I love that so much about him.

And he feels like the type that, if he doesn't have his preferred weapon you'll wish he did, because he's throwing the book, the table, the scissors, (hes not wasting perfectly good cooking utensils unless absolutely necessary so, 50/50 on a frying pan to the face) slamming your head in the door and tricking you into getting stuck on an unreasonable strong ceiling fan and being trapped up there. He's a gothamite and he's gonna use whatever is in his vicinity to wreck your shit. I need more Bernard being an unhinged and unreasonably skilled fighter.

And I need to see Tim being absolutely smitten about it and the bats being mildly concerned.

I think Bernard needs to have cuteness aggression. Like someone he loves us just sitting there needing out a bit something and they're smiling all happy like. Bernard is still listening yes because he's great like that, but hesvalso think about crawling inside their ribs to make a little home in there to feel the vibration of every word spoken from their chest. Needs to replace their eyes with his own so they can see from his perspective just how precious they are.

... Damn this isn't even cuteness aggression anymore idk what I'm on about but I need it to be Bernard anyway. Also Tim can have cuteness aggression too as a treat mayhaps.. a Tim who bites is the Tim that's right. And kon can be here too is he wants

On the idea of meta-human Bernard, since I can't make things not a little sad 90% of the time, I'd give him injury transfer abilities instead of healing. To the outside it looks like healing but he's just moving them too himself and since he heals much faster it's totally fine and normal. This is not at all causing him any added physical and mental trauma. Giving him CPTSD? No way. Constant reminders of the cult that physically forced his powers to activate via torture, and whom he still fears may know about his abilities, no negative affects whatsoever

I love timbern fic that show both perspectives of Bernard meeting the family. Bats are always like who the fuck is Bernard. And then there's this funny little blond guy that Tim's head over heels for. Then Bernard is just like oh shit vigilantes and oh shit rich people.

Then there's the moments where they get to see the other side of the person. Eating out somewhere or vibing in public as a small bonding activity that will keep the bat kids from doing the mlre stupid shit at dinner. Bernard is getting emotional seeing everyone be so sweet and oh they're not that scary. Then queue hostage situation in the restaurant or smthn, Bats are all like, but he's sweet and squishy is he gonna be ok- ... oh he beat tf out those people.
