Ah the other Niklas Backstrom. (He was the first one.) I liked him when he was with the Wild.

I don’t blame Kladno but duuuuuude. He’s about a million years old. But I’d buy a ticket to see him still, so why not keep him? (He only plays a handful of games anyway.)

I’m so glad he’s found a spot. His head was never quite right. So much talent but a lot of issues that he never really dealt with. I hope he’s happier now.

That’s Igor Larionov II, the son. I would love to see him play for Detroit sometime. (He’s never really had the numbers.) But I hope he does well in Russia.

HK Sochi’s Nikolai Zherdev with his dog Max.  Max had a bit of an adventure this week, when he was apparently abducted from the team hotel.  Happy to report that he is now safely back with his owner!
