I booked my first camera (Canon Rebel XTi) when it got launched in India in late-2006, incidentally the global launch date was 24 Aug (same as today), and I got it delivered to me several weeks later - during the festival season (most exciting diwali ever!). I upgraded to a Full-frame DSLR 11 years ago. With changing technology, I have been resisting shifting to Mirrorless ever since Sony launched the A-series. I have tried almost all the mirrorless brands in the market, and wanted to make a decision to shift only when I was sure that the new camera system satisfied these 3 things : 1. Smaller & Lighter 2. Suits my shoot & edit workflow 3. It has tech which the DSLR system didn’t have. Finally, the first half of 2019 was spent in experimenting with all the mirrorless cameras available, and what worked best for me : the Nikon Z7 and the Nikon Z6. So here’s to a new beginning, of shifting to an all new system after a decade & a half. I have photographed just a few weddings with the Z system so far, and I am loving the results. I am going to continue to share the photo-edits, feedback and updates on this new and exciting Z camera system. Thank you @nikonindiaofficial for helping me take the leap of faith. I am not used to being in front of the camera - so please excuse the awkwardness :D 📸 @ramitbatraphotography #ramitbatraphotography #NikonExpertives #shotonnikon #nikonschoolindia #mirrorlessreinvented (at New Delhi) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1iVChqBm8D/?igshid=9vixvfowprp3
