Rewatching this episode (curse of the mummy, s2e15) and... Ok so I remember when I first watched it I thought they were unironically a good pair lmao, and I still kinda do, as it is a really fun couple in the good way, and it's just hilarious the way both their relatives hate each other. But then...
I remembered season 2 (specifically, the shapeshifter, s2e11) establishes that Otto is Dixon's uncle (unlike season 1, where he was just his aprentince, but alike the books).
Therefore, if Otto's ghost mommy (aka, Dixon's grandma) gets it with Cleo's dad... then that means Cleo and Dixon would be... yeah no thank you.
Meanwhile he's just... there (I love how stupid he looks here). Like, they obviously didn't think this through?? Or at least I hope so, because the implications of Dixon having a crush on Cleo on top of whatever the hell is this implies is just... no??? why would you??? At least it didn't happen at the end ig.
It's like that one plot point in Amphibia where Hop Pop has a crush on the grandmother (or aunt, idk) of the girl his grandson has a crush on... and nobody ever mentions it and it just happens... gosh that was so weird
