finally got to see broadside for the first time last night after loving them for a year+ and they’re the nicest people ever and the best band i’ve ever seen live

I had the pleasure of attending the Handguns and Roam co-headling tour tonight. Purely attending this tour to see Broadside. I don’t think there has been a band that has struck me and pulled me in like Broadside has. Earlier this year I heard their single “Coffee Talk” via a friend… I’m pretty sure I didn't stop singing it until the album came out. This is what Broadside does, this is how their music works. They take these lyrics, that aren’t only relatable but they’ll resonate with you and they write these sick hooks and catchy choruses that makes their songs impossible to get out of your head. As far as their live show, it’s straight energy from start to finish. The stage presence and passion Oliver puts into singing the lyrics is not only something you can see on his face, but you can hear it in his voice and feel it in the atmosphere. Dorian caught my eye a lot and I found myself paying attention to his vocal parts purely for the vibe he was putting off, this guy has a hell of a lot of talent. A favorite song of mine is “Damaged Kids” and after the chorus is sung an echo of “We’re all just damaged” comes in and the passion in Oliver’s voice mixed with the crowd screaming the lyrics back, I had chills but I was also smiling so hard because it was such a great moment to feel connected to so many people. Aside from being incredible musicians and having an awesome stage presence, All of the guys in Broadside are so nice. These guys are the most appreciative and humble group i’ve met, I heard Oliver ask us to simply tell a friend about them, didn't mention merch he just wanted the word spread and that’s something I really love. It comes down to why I’m writing this, check this band out! If you havent seen Broadside, they’re on tour currently go pick up a ticket because they’re cheap and I can tell you that this is money well spent. Listen to them for my sake, I can guarantee that once you listen to Old Bones you wont be able to stop. Don’t sleep on them, next you thing you know they’re going to blow everyone out of the water.
