[Sycon’s Malady] x [Broken Silence]

One big link between the one-shot (“Sycon’s Malady”) and the campaign (“Broken Silence”) is the DM’s NPC, Nadir. He appeared in both and has been lending a helpful hand on more than one occasion.

So here is Nadir surrounded by all his friends he made. <3

    A small talk 

         small tents 

         small slumber 

Shared dreams. 

I was scared and unaware 

Skeptical in denial 

There was comfort in the confidence.

When secure again, I did. 

It helped.  

I found comfort in confiding. 

You’re really struggling now,  

We don’t know each other 

But I know pain. 

I see you hurting.  

You do not make a sound,  

But in the garden I saw you. 

You were crying. 

We don’t know eachother.  

I left you be.  

But. I wonder.  

Did you hear me playing? 

Did it help? 

I don’t know. 

I don’t know how to ask you.  

There’s a skull of yours 

I lost it I guess?  

I'm supposed to ask you 

Talk about it’s gold tooth 

Now, I hold no claim proof. 

But how can I bother you? 

You’ve lost a friend 

You've lost a home 

You’ve been tortured and alone 

How can I bother you? 

How am I supposed to ask you about something taboo? 

Questions hurt too 

I don’t want to hurt you.

You don’t know me. 

This entire thing is a 

Mystery 

I’m worried. 

I don’t want to talk  

Not about golden skulls 

And where-with-alls. 

Do I even need to know? 

What it is you’re doing 

Does it matter? 

Nothing’s worse for it. 

I’ll do it. 

I’ll talk to you. 

I’ll ask you. 

I wasn’t asked to force you. 

So hopefully 

You don’t hold my questions against me.

Sometimes the DM has to break the barrier between reality to make the sorcerer understands that they can use the scroll and cast a spell and that's ok.
