i bake your pardon
Jasper had to admit, he liked having a roommate again. Luka was polite and funny and could get things off the shelves that Jas couldn’t reach. They’d re-arranged the living room to give Luka more space to set up his barre and practice dance when he wanted. He had to admit the open floor plan did make the place seem larger. Plus it was nice to have the sounds of someone else around the house.
Luka had gone out, off to work or running errands, and Jas had the place to himself. So he’d gone to the nearest bookstore to find a Russian cookbook. His new friend deserved a taste of home.
Which is how he found himself slivering almonds and covered in flour and powdered sugar, muttering about what Charms he needed to figure out the correct measurements when the doorbell rang.
“Just a minute!” He called, wiping his hands and warning the bees to behave themselves.
When he opened the door he half-expected to find Luka without a key or Juniper stopping by for a visit. Instead he found a short, somewhat scary brunette staring up at him. “Uhh, hey! Can I help you?”
