Having finished his internship successfully (while avoiding getting in trouble by making sure that Ana didn't antagonize his uncle... too much), and with his lil degree in medicine, Dr. Ninten made his way for his first day as an official doctor at his uncle's hospital.
Even if he already proved himself to be a pretty competent doctor, he still felt the pressure of having gotten this far thanks to his uncle influence and nepotism. Which wasn't true, uncle Giegue was an ok uncle, he cared about Ninten and at the same time, he ignored him as if it was an Olympic competition. He was there for Ninten either at 100% or at -100%, nothing in between, and his pursue for the medical profession and everything related fell into the -100% category.
He sighed, the morning was cloudy, cold and humid, perfect to make him feel more anxious, thank you weather. Then he heard the distinctive sound of scissors.
He stopped in front of one of the many majestic gardens of the hospital. Working alone was a ginger man that Ninten has come to know as: Claus. He stopped on his tracks and watched in silent admiration as the ginger took care of some bushes, giving them form and making them look like cute animals, all the while making the softest of expressions.
He realised that he had been watching for too long when said ginger crossed eyes with him and smiled amused. Ninten felt his cheeks heat up, specially when Claus flexed his arms as he put his tools away. Gosh he was wearing long sleeves and he could still see him flex.
"Good morning dumbass. Wait, Dr. Dumbass, congratulations on getting the job!"
Claus walked to him and quickly gave him a hug. They haven't seen other in a week and he didn't had the courage chance to tell the good news to Claus in person yet.
"Thanks, will you ever stop calling me dumbass?"
Claus laughed, SO LOUD, that everyone turned around to look at them.
"Oh god, not anytime soon. Anyone that gives me a two hour lecture of why flan is better than omeletts it's a dumbass for the longest time. Deal with it."
Ninten crossed his arms and pouted, who cared if he was over 25 years old, he pouted!
Claus laughed and turned around. "See you later Doc, enjoy your first day."
And with that Claus picked up his tools and started to work again.
Ninten smiled and resumed his journey to the main building of the hospital. Claus had such a way to improve his day! Not even the weather or his insecurities could ruin his morning now.
Then Ana past running beside him and he realised that oh fuck, he spent so much time looking at Claus that now he was late! He somehow managed to arrived alongside Ana just in time, and he got an scold from uncle Giegue in his office later. It just so happened that uncle Giegue had wanted to be there to greet the new doctors. Man he wanted some flan.
