LOTS OF TAGS #I HAVE THOUGHTS ABOUT GHOST QUARTET!!!#behold. parts of my insane gigantic plot map made entirely in ms paint #its really bad actually because i cannot change things once i type them out #but its large and it covers a lot. so #just now realizing that in the blurb talking about the tango dancer #i shouldve moved the [canon] and [speculative] tags around. i meant for them to indicate everything BEFORE the tag as canon vs hc. like #i meant to convey the idea of 'canonically alive until the events of the original series' ie rose red and pearl white / meeting tango dance #and THEN that i /personally/ think that scheherazade CONTINUES to live long enough to see rose [starchild] as the photographer #i have a lot of thoughts about the like. 'levels of consciousness' i think each character / soul has in gq oughh #just like. how aware they are of their surroundings or other 'lives' / iterations.#and i think that pearl. as the cycle's main storyteller. has that highest level of awareness out of anybody #whether its pearl white pointing out stars to the astronomer #the camera shop owner telling the photographer about rose red and pearl white #lady usher reading roxie her bedtime stories or even reading alongside edgar #scheherazade weaving tales and stories for the shah zaman AND for dunyazad #and eventually being bankrupt of tales to tell by the time shes asked for one by rose red #until her death as the victim on the subway tracks gives her one last story to tell #one last recounting. delivered to us. the audience. before she is finally killed after centuries spent in limbo #pearl is also the one who questions david on his own stories and logic in scenes like midnight and narrates alongside brent #i think that gelsey and brent's characters in the show actually fill very similar roles in terms of narration #but they're always placed at opposite ends of a spectrum in terms of what 'character' roles they play #she is a victim and he is an antagonist. and yet their protagonist needs Both Of Them to push the story forward
