Thrilled to learn my drawing ‘Naarm’ has received an honourable mention in the 2021 @waverleyartschool 9x5 Landscape Prize. Congratulations to first and second prize winners @bronwynrodden and Landon Watts for their winning works. The works in this show all had to be exactly 9 by 5 inch, in reference to the famous exhibition painted on wooden cigar boxes by Australian Impressionists including Arthur Streeton. And my drawing was inspired by the two Arthur Streeton paintings in the collection of @melbournegirlsgrammar, paintings I saw during an artist in residence earlier in the year made possible by the exceptional @josiejo_711.
