This is a collection of short stories which is great for subway trips and more fulfilling. You get brief glimpses into people’s life. He’s a slow writer and the story doesn’t move too quickly so it feels like you are reading about these lives in real time. Things are moving so quickly and rapidly, in New York especially. I like reading something that’s a slower pace and serene.
