Film poster for Nomadland (USA, 2020), directed by Chloé Zhao. The delicate playfulness, poetic scenery and almost transcendental camera work make this a fragile and melancholic exploration of the American nomadic lifestyle. Historic and well-deserved Oscar wins for Zhao and McDormand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Little known fact: Frances McDormand (one of only two professional actors cast in the film) lived and slept in the van for several months and decorated it with her own personal items. She also worked several of the jobs shown in the film, such as harvesting beets and packing Amazon orders. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Designed by Sarah Schrauwen and Mathieu Vancamp.
Film poster for The Rider (USA, 2017), directed by Chloé Zhao. The virility of the rodeo world is considerately examined and contrasted with the notions of loss and acceptance in a rural community of traditions and brotherhood. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Little known fact: Director Zhao met Brady Jandreau during her research for an earlier film, and he taught her how to ride a horse. She wanted to cast him in one of her films, but after his life-changing accident, she based the script of The Rider on his story.
Designed by Mathieu Vancamp and Sarah Schrauwen.

TV: Cinema Verite (2011)
