Just sketchin. :3 Jay gets some love. 😘
(So, this was just a random idea I had. Both Jay and Cole realize they have feelings for Kai, and have a small talk and make a plan. So I wrote a small, badly written drabble. Will probably have a part two to see how it goes, but for now there is just this.)

This was bad. Really, really bad!
Jay loved Cole. That wasn’t new news, especially to Jay. Heck they had been dating for months now! No. That wasn’t the problem.
The problem was Kai.
Jay glared at the boy across the dinner table, Kai was chatting with Lloyd, and Jay couldn’t help but notice every little thing. Kai reached up with a chuckle as he ran his hand through the perfectly styled hair, the small spikes bouncing back to their position as if nothing had disturbed them. His smile lit up the room with enough charisma and charm to make anyone stop and pay attention to him.
And that right there, was the problem that was grating on every last nerve in Jay’s body. Shredding away every last part of his sanity. Jay was absolutely attracted to his friend, but he was also attracted to Cole, and dating him! This shouldn’t even be a problem he was having right now, this small crush would go away, he would get over it and move on with his life. That was what Jay had told himself…2 months ago. Now Jay was starting to worry. Everyday he noticed something new, and everyday it became less physical attraction and more emotional. Which means, everyday Jay’s hopes of shaking this crush were dwindling.
Jay had passed the stage of denial. And it wasn’t fair to Kai, heck he didn’t do anything really, but that didn’t stop Jay from entering the next stage: anger. Just thinking about these new feelings got Jay’s blood boiling, he couldn’t understand it! He didn’t want to understand it! He just wanted it to go away! He loved Cole! He repeated that over and over in his head. But the annoyance returned as he noticed another thing about Kai that made his heart flip in his chest. Jay gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on the spoon as he stabbed it into his soup. This wasn’t fair! Not fair! Why did his heart have to do this!? He didn’t want to let go of Cole, they had a good thing going, they just started dating! But at this rate Jay’s stupid feelings were going to ruin that, and then Cole would distance himself from Jay again. And he really didn’t know if he could do that again. He didn’t want to lose Cole. So Jay ignored it even more, or he tried to. Until Cole decided to have a talk.
Jay was getting ready for bed with Cole. With the day he was having, Jay was just so ready to cuddle, but then Cole closed the bathroom door and plopped into the desk chair. “Hey Jay?” Jay pulled his night shirt over his head and looked at Cole.
“Yeah?”
“You okay? You just…seem a little irritable lately.” Jay raised an eyebrow and slammed his dresser drawer shut.
“Irritable!? What…no, I-I mean, yeah I’m fine. Why wouldn’t I be fine!? Do I not look fine to you!?”
“Woah, slow down there Sparky! I’m just concerned alright? I just…I didn’t do anything right? Cause, I want you to be able to talk to me if I did, I don’t wanna keep doing something wrong when I can fix it.”
“What? What, no, no! Cole, you're fine, good, great!” Jay made his way over to Cole and awkwardly rubbed his neck. “Why would you think that?” Cole shrugged and looked up at Jay.
“I don’t know. You’ve just…you haven’t been distant I guess, but…you just seemed upset so…” Cole trailed off and looked at the floor. Jay sighed and slowly pet Cole’s hair. He leaned into the touch, closing his eyes.
“I…I am upset. Not with you. I love you Cole, I really do. I’ve just…been having an emotional conflict I guess.” Cole opened his eyes and gave Jay a curious look as he softly grabbed Jay’s hand, placing a soft kiss on his wrist before intertwining their fingers.
“Wanna talk about it?” Jay stared into Cole’s eyes. The emotions in his chest seemed to tangle and twist as his brain shouted loudly at him, but the worry and love held in Cole’s eyes quieted the storm within him. He owed it to Cole to at least talk. To communicate. He deserved to know. Jay softly nodded.
“I…I did want to talk to you. I did want to tell you something.” Cole nodded and held his hand tighter.
“Me too. Maybe we can tell each other? If that’ll be easier?”
“Yeah. I tell you, you tell me…we…work it out?” A nervous chuckle escaped Jay’s lips as he glanced at Cole. Cole smiled and nodded.
“Yeah, okay. You first?”
“Right…okay.” Jay gulped, shifting his feet side to side as he searched for the words. “I love you very much Cole. I don’t want to ruin this, what we have going on. I’ve been waiting for so long to be able to hold you and-and kiss you. I’m so glad I can finally do that! You have no idea.I just…lately my heart is being dumb, and I’m attracted to you! But, I’ve also been…having a teeny tiny, annoying and persistent crush on…Kai?” Jay’s voice flickered and tapered off into a small whisper as he squeezed out his last sentence. Cole stared at Jay, his gaze unblinking as Jay stood still as stone. Neither boy broke eye contact, then slowly Cole blinked. His mouth opened and closed as he struggled to find words. With one last nervous chuckle he spoke.
“So…I was actually going to say the same thing to you.” Jay blinked.
“Huh?”
“That’s what I wanted to say too. I like you, but…I also kind of have a thing for Kai.” Jay and Cole made eye contact for a long time before Jay let out a small chuckle. Which turned into a big chuckle. Which turned into a fit of hysterical laughter.
“Wait wait wait! Okay. So…you still like me, right?” Jay asked.
“Of course!”
“And I still like you! But…we both also like Kai?”
“Um, yeah. That seems to be what’s happening right now.” Cole nodded as he softly caressed Jay’s hand. Jay nodded and sat on Cole’s lap with a sigh, leaning his head on Cole’s shoulder. Cole snuggled closer to Jay, placing a small kiss on his neck as he wrapped his arms around Jay. “Looks like we have a lot to talk about.”
“I guess so.” Jay leaned further into Cole, tilting his head with a blush. “So…what do you wanna do?”

Jay and Cole talked for a long time. Exploring their options, expressing their feelings, sharing their questions. But finally they decided to both ask out Kai. That decision was promptly followed by a, “Can we do that? Is that allowed?” from Cole. But Jay shrugged and answered, “I have no idea.” So they both agreed it wouldn’t hurt to try.
“Ah, wait wait wait! What if he thinks we’re weird! What if he hates us!? Should we do this!?” Jay panicked as they loitered outside of Kai’s room, Cole promptly hushed him, grabbing his hand and dragging Jay to the bathroom.
“Do you want him to hear you genius!?” Cole whispered and let out an exasperated huff. “But…I agree. We don’t even know if he'd be interested!” Jay and Cole pouted in thought.
“Oh! We’ll drop a hint! Just disguise it in the form of some random question, and that way we’ll find out if he’d be down!”
“Like…play 20 questions and slip in a ‘Hey? Would you date two dudes if they asked you out?’” Cole inquired. Jay nodded enthusiastically.
“Exactly! Seems a little weird but random on the surface! But we get good intel!”
“Jay! You’re a genius! I could kiss you!” Cole grabbed Jay’s shoulders, shaking him slightly. Jay smirked and leaned forward.
“I wouldn’t mind a smooch for some extra courage.” Cole smiled down at Jay, moving one hand to the side of Jay’s face.
“Real smooth blue jay. You can only get away with that because you’re cute.”
“Or because you love me?” Cole leaned closer, the two boys' lips barely grazing each other as their breaths ghosted across the other's skin.
“Maybe that too.” With that final sentence, Cole leaned in and gave Jay a soft kiss. Jay pushed back and wrapped his arms around the boy's neck, deepening the kiss slightly. He loved this. Loved the feeling of being loved, the warmth of his lover and the tingles that shot across his body at the small contact they shared. He could lose himself in Cole forever, in his soft lips, his calloused hands, the toned muscle of his arms. A small woosh of the door was barely heard to his ears. A groan of annoyance finally broke through as they pulled apart.
“Really guys!? In the bathroom? We have to share, you know, if you aren’t going to actually use the bathroom, leave and go do that in your bedroom!” Nya scolded as she pushed past the two boys. Cole grabbed Jay’s hand and retreated from the bathroom.
“Sorry Nya. Won’t happen again!” Cole blushed as he shut the door and stared at Jay. Jay smiled. “Mr. Troublemaker.” Cole said with a glare.
“I didn’t put us in the bathroom! That was all you baby! Now, how about we go prepare for our top secret plan that cannot fail?” Jay laughed as he walked away. Cole couldn’t help but follow, and he really hoped Jay was right. He really hoped this worked.

It’s kind of short, but hopefully I’ll make the next one longer. I just wanted to post this.

Jay and Cole had walked in to see Kai and Zane already lounging about on the couch. Jay suddenly sprung a game of 20 questions onto the group, and while Zane just wanted to watch, Kai was all for it.
Perfect. It was all going to plan.
“Okay…Jay. On a scale of 1 to 10 how good of a kisser is Cole?” Kai smirked as Cole’s face went red.
“Oh boy! A solid 10, all the way!” Jay enthusiastically answered. “Makes you feel like the only thing in the room is you and Cole, and he’s super gentle but tough too! I’m not quite sure how to explain it…uh…but good! Great! Yeah!” Cole groaned and shoved his face in his hands.
“Stop talking please! This is embarrassing!” Cole whined. Jay and Kai chuckled as they watched Cole hide behind his hands.
“Alright, I’ll stop.” Jay smiled as he turned to Kai. “Besides, it’s my turn to ask Kai a question!” Cole lifted his face and made eye contact with Jay. The two boys shared a small nod and Jay turned to Kai, pretending to be deep in thought. But there was only one question on his mind, the one he’s been waiting to ask all this time. “Okay…if we’re on the topic of romance. Kai! Let’s say…if two dudes asked you out…would you date both of them?” Kai widened his eyes and cocked his head to the side.
“Huh. I didn’t expect you to ask that. But since you ask-“ Jay and Cole leaned in closer, awaiting Kai’s answer with bated breaths. “yeah! I mean, if I liked them, I totally would!” Kai smiled. Jay smiled and stood up, grabbing Cole’s hand as he pulled him along.
“Awesome! Sorry to cut the game short, but I just realized I have something to do, that I totally forgot about! Cole, help me out!” Jay rushed out of the living room, dragging Cole behind him.
“Hey! Careful with my arm!” Cole shouted and left with Jay, leaving a confused Kai sitting in the middle of the floor. Zane looked up and shared a glance with Kai, his eyes seemed to ask ‘What was that about?’ Kai just shrugged and stood up.
“Well, guess it’s just us now.”
“Want to play chess?” Kai glared at Zane.
“And boost your ego? No thanks.”
“And I’m not interested in boosting yours either.” Zane said with a small smirk. Kai tried to fight a smile and crossed his arms, plopping down on the couch.
“Whoever taught you to be sassy should be banned from the bounty.” Kai grumbled as he leaned over Zane to grab the TV remote.
“I could say the same to you.”
“That was all me tinhead.” Kai smirked, leaning on Zane as he flicked on the TV.
“Then you are glad I do not want to ban you.” Zane smiled and leaned against the couch cushions. Kai chuckled and watched the screen as the conversation led to a companionable silence. As he watched the mind numbing show his mind began to wander. Particularly to Jay and Cole’s abrupt exit. He couldn’t help but wonder, “What was that about?”
Soon, Kai would get his answer.

As Kai shut the door he took a deep breath as the small smirk on his face slowly fell.
The final click of the door sounded throughout the hall, and once that registered in his brain he instantly booked it down the hall towards Nya’s room, slamming the door open as his sister let out a small scream. “Nya!”
“Kai! Do you not know how to knock!?”
“I’m sorry sis, but the door is not going to matter when I tell you what just happened!” Kai closed his sister's door and sat on the bed next to her. “I just had two dudes ask me out.”
“Oh, wow. Going from zero interested parties to two? Impressive for you.” Kai glared at his sister's teasing.
“Not cool sis. For the record, I have tons of fans who want a piece of the Kai special.” Nya gagged, shaking her head in disgust.
“Don’t say that!”
“Sorry, but it’s true! Anyway,-“ Kai blushed as he thought of what just happened. “You can’t go spreading this around yet, cause it’s not official or anything, but I need to tell you or else I might just freak out, just a little.” Nya raised a brow and nodded.
“Okay? Hit me. What’s going on with these dudes?”
“Well…I think I’ll try and date both of them, cause they still want to date each other, but they both like me too. But, I know them pretty well so it’s kind of…well…”
“You’re nervous?” Nya interjected as Kai grumbled under his breath, hiding his red face. “Ha, don’t worry bro, you can admit that. So, who are these guys anyway?” Kai tried to stop his face from blushing even more as he made eye contact with his sister, her eyebrow once more raised as she waited for an answer.
“Well…it’s…Cole and Jay.” Kai gave an awkward smile as Nya’s jaw dropped.
“No way…NO WAY!”
“SHHHHH! Sush! Be quiet, will ya!?” Kai hastily covered Nya’s mouth. Nya tore his hand away with wide eyes as she went to speak.
“Sorry, sorry, just…Cole and Jay? I did not expect that!”
“Yeah, me neither, but…I said I was down, and I kind of am. And I acted super chill about it too, cause I’m cool like that, but now we’re supposed to be planning dates to see how it goes, and I have no idea where to take them!” Kai took a deep breath and sighed. “Geeze, I’m rambling like Jay. How does he have the breath for that?” Nya laughed and shook her head as she pulled out her phone.
“No idea. But I think I can help you a bit there big bro. Let’s write down some ideas.”
“Ha, yeah okay. Thanks sis.”
“You owe me one.” Nya smirked as Kai playfully frowned.
“Didn’t you owe me one already? I’d think this would count as my I.O.U!”
“Nah, I already paid that last week, remember?”
“Pfft, whatever. Let’s just make this list.” Kai smirked as he playfully nudged Nya, grabbing a notebook and pen afterwards. “All right, start hitting me with ideas!”
