Ninjago NextGen Basics

Okay so basically this is my take on Ninjago Next Generation. The whole thing is on the canon timeline with some minor adjustment to canon, so I would consider this more of an UA than an AU, but AU is more well known so there you go.

 First of all, a big problem this fandom has is the ages, which I would like to clear up right away, in my interpretation Lloyd caught up with the other ninja’s ages by Season 4, the Tournament of Elements.

Also here are my age headcanons for all the ninja through the Seasons and the time-gaps between seasons, also their birthdays:

 The Ninjagan Civil War was an event when Ninjago City elected the wrong person to be President (president? mayor? PM?) who became a tyraniccal ruler and Ninjago was pretty much torn in two, as the conflict between the highly advanced urbanic areas and the medieval rural regions exploded into an all out war as a result of his rule.

 The Present Day of the NextGen:

Kai: 48

Nya: 46

Jay: 47

Cole: 49

Zane: 48 ( body Unknown)

Lloyd: 44

 So, now with that out of the way here’s my minor adjustments on canon for this „AU”:

 -Lloyd caught up agewise with the rest of the ninja by Season 4, and I headcanon him as Trans Male.

 -Everyone remembers the events of Skybound, (because I’m still super extra salty about that ending fight me), instead of turning back time to before the events happen, simply the results were ereased, so everything went back to normal physically but the time still passed and everyone still remembers.

 -They can summon their elemental dragons and do airjitsu again eventually.

 -Cole still has acces to his ghost powers through the remains of his scar to some extent.

 -Elemental masters don’t lose their elements after having a child, it’s more like genetics, the trait can be inherited, even by multiply people. (For example: Nya and Lar are both canonically Masters of Water in my AU and Lar is their cousin from Maya’s side.)

If the element doesn’t get inherited, it can be either passed on by the current Master (like Ice did with Zane) or it’ll move on to a new host.

 -Skylor lost her powers for good (I might re-visit this after S9), however it’s still inside her and can be inherited, just much more weak. It can’t copy other elements forever just for some minutes. She was too OP for me, fight me.

 -Morro died when he was about 19 instead of 14.

 - Instead of returning the Reverse Blade to the Boiling Sea Lloyd had it destroyed, the remaining Time Blades were destroyed in the Time Vortex.

I might add to this list later, because I’m not sure I got everything, I might have forgotten some things.

Ninjago NextGen: Pandora and Fierra

Yeah so first of all, I'll stitch these eventually into one big height-chart, when I'm done with both the kids and their parents, it's going to happen sooner or later...

So! The first two of the Ninjago NextGen kids!

Pandora and Fierra are the daughters of Lloyd and Kai (yes it's Greenflame, and yes I headcanon Lloyd as Trans, so heads up for MPreg I guess).

Name: Pandora Garmadon Age: 14 Gender: Female Element: Energy Parents: Kai and Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon

History: Pandora was the result of a one night stand between Lloyd and Kai during the Ninjagan Civil War. Even if they he kept her, Lloyd got really messed up about becoming pregnant and giving birth, so soon after her birth and her early years he kind of avoided her, getting himself invested in diplomatic work to maintain the peace after the war. As a result of this Pandora he spent most of her time with Kai and she grew up on the heroic stories and adventures of her parents and their friends. She loved to listen to these stories and Kai loved to tell them, however as a result she sees her parents and the ninja in a glorified light, only seeing the heroic stuff they did and the „awesome” adventures they had and not seeing them as the life experiences and usually cautionary tales they are. Even before, but specially after her sister, Fierra, was born she was determined to become a ninja hero like her parents, and specially like Lloyd, whom she looked up-to the most, seeing him as a hero role-model, the „legendary green ninja” and as a Master, rather than as a father. When it was confirmed she had inherited Lloyd’s energy element she was beyond ecstatic, seeing it as a chance to REALLY become like Lloyd, who wasn’t nearly as happy about that. After her powers manifested she became even more determined in her dream and started to compete with Lloyd's other star-student Karma even more. As the years passed and she soon became an exceptional ninja she was ready to graduate from training to join the new official ninja team led by Karma, but Lloyd always postponed her graduation with various reasons and excuses, thinking she’s not ready to become an official ninja yet, which eventually lead her to wanting to have her own ninja team if she can’t join the official one.

Personality: Pandora is usually cheerful, loud, almost happy-go-lucky and a very stubborn, ambitious and determined person. She’s also the perfect combination of no-chill and anxiety. She’s always full of energy (HA get it?) ready to go and do things, meet people, down to fight and down to train any time of the day. She always felt the need to prove herself above all else, as she considers herself the „next green ninja” she wants to live up to her father’s legacy and wants Lloyd to be proud of her. However because of this she can be also quite arrogant and jealous and she easily loses her temper when she doesn’t reach her goal or get the expected reaction. She’s also an incredibly competitive person, she’s been at odds with Karma as long as she can remember, and she’s rather rash, she tends to act first before thinking things through. However she’s also extremley loyal to those she trusts and considers friends and family. She’s also quite prideful but when push comes to shove she’s not afraid to ask for help or advice (usually from Kai or her best friend since chilhood, Jenny).

Relationship with her Parents:

Kai: Given that in her early years she mostly grew up with him they have a really close bond. Specially that they’re both no-chill and ready to scream at any point in the day. He’s really proud of her powers and the hard work she puts into her training, and he understands her strong ambitions. They usually train together and he takes her on training missions a lot. Whenever she has any emotional or general trouble she turns to him for comfort and/or help rather than Lloyd. She was really jealous when Fierra manifested her fire-powers and he started to spend less time with her but eventually they resvoled that. Pretty much the only time they have any serious conflict is when the subject of her training and graduation comes up, and Kai takes Lloyd's side in the argument which leads her to usually lash out at both of them, feeling betrayed specially by Kai for not supporting her. However other than that they have a deep bond in general.

Lloyd: With Lloyd her relationship is much more complicated. They have a slight level of estrangement between them which comes from mostly Lloyd avoiding her in her early years and later by Pandora seeing him more as a legendary-hero-ninja-master than as a father. However both as a father AND as a master, she wants him to be proud of her and to be like him more than anything. Or be like the image she has of him to be more specific. Lloyd however doesn’t want that at all, he knows if she follows down this path she’ll only hurt herself so he tries to hold her back to protect her. However because of this she thinks he doesn’t find her good enough and he favors Karma above her which only causes her to push even harder. There’s constant tension and miscommunication between them, Pandora can’t see him without the glorificaiton and he can’t make her see the reality of the life she wants to have, which only leads to constant disappointment and arguments between them.

Name: Fierra Garmadon Age: 9 Gender: Female Element: Fire (and possibly Gold, we’ll see after S9) Parents: Kai and Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon

History: Being born 5 years after Pandora, Fierra was actually planned by Kai and Lloyd and her reception was much better too. Lloyd didn’t avoid her like she did with Pandora, and they actually developed a close bond through the years. Kai was also always buzzing around her which only got much worse when she developed her fire powers at the age of 8 (and they possibly found out about her Gold heritage, but like I said we’ll wait for S9). She was immediately dubbed as special and they turned special attention to her training. Kai was beyond ecstatic that his daughter not only has his fire powers so soon but gold as well and he fussed around her even more which made her feel suffocated so she pretty much distanced herself from Kai. She grew bitter and resentful towards her powers really quick, which she usually bonds over with Lloyd. He supports her the best he can, but he also always reminds her even if she didn’t ask for this, this is her responsibility to bear now and she can’t run away from it. Even though that’s pretty much what Fierra wants to do.

Personality: In general, she’s closed-off, distant and grumpy, which is mostly the result of being dubbed „special” by her parents and everyone around her. She’s really bitter over the fact that fate forced a destiny on her she didn’t ask for and she has no plans on bearing the responsibility for it. She’s also more mature and realistic than her sister, prefers to think things through before she jumps into things. She’s also aware and sees how pretty much everyone is fucked-up mentally in the family and everyone around them from all the things they’ve been through, even though she keeps that mostly to herself aside from an occasional remark. As a result from all these frustations and constant pressure she’s under however she can become extremley agressive in battle, it’s her best way of letting out steam.

Relationship with her Parents:

Kai: After her powers manifest she felt really suffocated by Kai so she distanced herself from him. She’s usually frustated with him, that even though they share an element he seems to be unable to understand what she’s going through. He’s really proud that she’s so special and he wants her to push further and farther because she could be meant for so much more and he simply can’t grasp the fact that she doesn’t want any of this. To him this is the best thing that could happen to someone, and she just feels helpess that he can’t understand her, so she prefers to not involve him in any personal stuff of hers, she’d rather turn to Lloyd whenever she needs anything.

Lloyd: Fierra is much more closer with Lloyd emotionally, they’ve been close, spending time together since she was little, but now he understands what she’s going through better than anyone. He tries his best to ease her troubles, and he’s there for her to listen and give her advice. They also like to chill together in general. She views him much more as a father than as a master, which is why sometimes she doesn’t take his destiny and responsibility related advices to the heart that much, because she knows that’s more the Master than the father speaking from him. If it was up to him as a father he would rather have her not dealing with any of that, but now all he can do is help her however she needs it. He also sees she’s very relucant to accept her powers, which is why he usually reminds her of her responsibility.

Pandora and Fierra:  Pandora was always a little jealous of Fierra ever since she was born and their parents were giving more attention to her (specially as she was much more closer with Lloyd) but Pandora became extemley jealous and bitter of Fierra when she manifested her fire powers (and gold) at just the age of 8, (when she herself only had her energy powers revealed when she was almost 11 plus SHE wanted to be the special one) and that led to Kai spending more time with Fierra than her. However this got resolved with time as both Fierra matured with her powers and Pandora realised they can actually train together now. After that they became pretty close siblings, always having eachother’s backs, confiding in eachother, and generally being pretty ride-or-die. Fierra usually criticises Pandora for not thinking things through and she’s usually her lowkey impulse control holding her back when necessary. Meanwhile Pandora helps Fierra find ways to let out her frustations and let off steam and she’s pretty much the only one who doesn’t treat her special nor goes easy on her. Okay so my thoughts pretty much scattered around the end of wiriting thing, so I might go over-it and fix/add some stuff tomorrow, it's super late now and I'm tired, so this is pretty much all I know about their basics so far!

Sup I got more, and this probably the last one for now if you guys feel like seeing more idk. This is Lloyd Brookstone son of Cole Brookstone Zane Julien Jay Walker and Kai Smith, despite looking almost like Cole. it's Polyninja and the third oldest of the four.

A little of info:

- Name: Lloyd Brookstone (Son of Cole Brookstone Zane Julien Jay Walker and Kai Smith)

- Elemental Power - Inherited the power of earth from Cole, and can vaguely tap into the other elemental powers also.

- Lloyd is extremely diligent to fighting for Ninjago, loves to train as the others despise it. Leads the NextGen ninja into fights, trains under all of the Sensei; Lloyd and Cole the most out of all them.

- Fights using the Scythe of Earth, one of the five silver weapons created from Kai similar to the golden weapons that the original four contained.

I don't got much on this child so that's everything currently. See ya later guys!

Someone needs to stop me like please I can't stop making this. (I really need to upload an fanfiction soon, anyone got any ideas?) So this is Marble Walker offspring of Jay Walker and Zane Julien (she's so cute ack-) after Oppositeshipping, it's Technoshipping and she's actually the youngest out of the four.

A little of info:

- Name: Marble Walker (Offspring of Jay Walker and Zane Julien)

- Elemental Power - Inherited the power of lightning from Jay, the lightning does not appear to get connection to Zane's instead becoming exactly likes Jay's own.

- Marble is the youngest and the second tallest of the four (Raven's the shortest of them all).

- Marble is genderfluid and changes each day usually female.

- Fights using the Arrow of Lightning, one of the five silver weapons created from Kai similar to the golden weapons that the original four contained.

- Marble is extremely shy and still is working on the courage to leave on mission that's not accompanied from any of her parents the only time she's confident is tinkering next to Jay.

At this point this AU is just freakin' self indulgence cause my art sucks XD and I'm super uncreative. That's everything currently so later guys!

I said I'd make more so I did, I still regret nothing about this case I love this AU to expand on Next Gens. Everyone this is Takaski Smith, son of Zane and Kai (cause Oppositeshipping), after Glaciershipping to continue the PolyninjaNextGen!AU timeline is Oppositeshipping, the second oldest of the four.

A little of info:

- Name: Takashi Smith (Son of Kai Smith and Zane Julien)

- Elemental Power: Inherited the power of fire from Kai, the fire can sometimes reach freezing temperatures due to the relationship to Zane.

- Takashi is the second oldest and the tallest out of all the ninja next gens from the PolyninjaNextGen!AU (The tallest is the daughter of Plasmashipping).

- Fights using the Spear of Fire, one of the five silver weapons created from Kai similar to the golden weapons that the original four contained.

- Personality almost complete like Kai, elements of Jay thrown in and an complete disregard to safety always gaining new bandages next to stitches and scars, it drives Zane almost completely crazy.

Technoshipping is the next, after that is the child of Polyninja all of these Next Gens are apart of the same AU. Other children are going to get designed maybe first I just need to sort out the timelines cause there's a lot of them. Until then see you later guys!

So I might've created an next gen? Yes yes I did and I don't regret my decision at all, everyone this is Raven Julien, daughter of Zane and Cole. I adore the ideas of next gens so I created my own, the first of many (maybe probably). So I started off with the daughter of Glaciershipping.

A little of info:

- Name: Raven Julien (Daughter of Cole Brookstone and Zane Julien)

- Elemental Power: Inherited the power of ice from Zane, the ice is dark tone imitating the dark colors of Cole.

- Raven is the oldest out of all the ninja next gens, technically apart of the PolyninjaNextGen!AU, each an mix of Zane to the other ninja. Other ships are apart of different timelines.

- Fights using the Axe of Ice, one of the five silver weapons created from Kai similar to the golden weapons that the original four contained.

- Personality more similar to Cole's than Zane's even wearing their own pair of an ponytail and an headband like their father does.

So yeah, I might expand more on this and add more so until then later you guys!
