I will genuinely be a little peeved if they don’t even have a little conversation around rogue getting his memories back. I mean really, why would he willingly get his memories back without further development? Because while yeah, rogue stated Nya makes him want to be a better person, that doesn’t necessarily mean that will be easy for him.
Like, it’s easy to be a bystander or do evil, it’s hard to make the right choice. We have been shown many times in this show for that to be the case. I don’t want him to just get his memories back and it fixes everything and there’s no fallout in any way. Because that makes no sense right? Why have all this build up for the writers to make an easy way out. It doesn’t even fit the message of the show. I trust them too much 😂.
Why would a character fighting for his autonomy so hard, still denying his past by the end of the season, choose to give that up so easily? HE WOULD NOT. He would fear losing himself as he knows it. Or maybe he’d do it because he doesn’t know himself, and wants to find out? That would take a lot of character development for me to easily believe that. And I know this is a kids show, but with Cole’s whole ghost arc, I believe they could handle just a little bit more development before ruining my favorite Jay arc so far. 😭🙏
I could see them maybe betraying him and forcing him to get his memories back. Or having an episode where they argue back and forth about it, until he convinces himself to do it. That seems ninjago-ish. But even then idk. It’s sad either way. Maybe he’d want his memories back to make himself “good again” fixing his shatterspin? That’s also really sad when you think about it for more than two seconds. He’s changing himself for someone he only met a couple weeks ago at most. Literally a couple days ago he was suggesting they “take out” dozens of people he literally worked with. Dude’s evil. A lil bit.
I need to know how they will do this. I saw the trailer. I’m concerned.
