I have this scene in my head where Jay becomes extremely violent after this soul shattering thing. He doesn't really care about most of the people around him now, but he protects those he cares about, and he does so with violence.

"I know the real Jay could never forget me, so it couldn't be real."
Uhm. Nya. Honey. I have... bad news...
Sometimes I imagine an angsty scenario where when arguing with Rogue/Jay (more like, he trying to leave & she doesn’t want him to), Nya angrily chucks her Yang pendant thingy at him while he’s walking out the doors and storms back into the monastery crying, and that’s when Jay realizes that they were telling him the truth because he still has his.
Amnesiac Jay Headcanon
So technically ‘procedural memory/muscle memory’ allows a person to remember things like dance moves and music notes without actually remembering that they learned it in the first place. So what if Jay randomly starts swinging chains in battle and is inexplicably good at it. Or if he hears Spanish music and breaks into the tango (not remembering dance classes with Nya) it can’t explain how he can dance. Or picks up an electric guitar and plays a song flawlessly but doesn’t know the song or how he knows it??? And every time someone asks him he just glitches: brain freezes because he’s trying to pull out the memories that are gone
Lord Ras comes for Jay and the tiger man and his creepy wolf cult clearly have issues, but Jay joins him anyway.
Why?
Maybe it's the feeling of being part of a group again. Maybe it's the yearning for adventure that thrums through his bones stronger than the lightning. Maybe he's seen the scars that trace his body and sees these warriors who sought him out specifically and thinks he's put two and two together. Maybe it's the bickering of the man of smoke and childish sorceress that feels like an aching echo of... something.
Maybe it's the feeling of a blue suit on his skin, coordinated with the suits around him.
Maybe the thrill of doing something that's not paperwork begins to fill that hole inside of him. Maybe he's too good with the weapon in his hands to ignore the way he's an effective killer fighter.
So maybe Jay stays with these twisted people, this violent cult, the dark group, because somewhere deep inside, villains are familiar. A dark, warped reflection of familiar, but familiar nevertheless.
Maybe he stays because he'd rather feel like he was doing some wrong than doing nothing at all.
okay listen, office worker amnesiac Jay but…
After attempting and failing to break Jay out of the Administration (cough* kidnap), the ninja try a new tactic. All the ninja apply to work at the Administration under secret identities but only one gets in (personally I like Cole being the one) or all of them.
Cole shows up overly excited about a boring 9-5 job and Jay thinks he’s crazy. This new guy keeps trying to befriend him- desperately almost.
For example, Cole bringing him coffee every day and saying, “You’ll really like this one.” (He knows it’s Jay’s favourite even if Jay doesn’t remember it.)
Or, “Have you read this comic book? It’s really great, you should try it.” (Cole has never been a fan of comic books but Jay never shut up about it.)
Once Cole is sure Jay trusts him, he tries to get him out. Of course being told your new best friend has always been your best friend and is a ninja master of earth is pretty groundbreaking and Jay runs for the hills. Cue Kai chasing him down, both of them yelling at each other while Cole contemplates life.

Summary:
Jay must learn how to navigate his new life with amnesia. He’s not the same Jay that everyone remembers, and he is well aware of that. Burdened with guilt and trauma from events he hardly remembers, the fear of never remembering, and wondering why he can’t love the way he used to.
Long story short, Jay is tired and just wishes he could gain his memories back.
Authors note: y’all I am so tired. It’s 3am and I’m sure I’ll edit the summary tomorrow but this might me my favorite ninjago fic I’ve ever posted
i hope jay gets to fall in love with nya again like he doesnt remember her, but theres something about this girl..
she would be screaming at him and jay is just heart eyes, terrible flirting and all like he would lean on the water cooler tryna make his move and it would crash to the floor
