I seriously left you guys hanging, huh? Well, characters with multiple layers are trickier to work with than a character like Mario. In any case, the rigs are finished, and I even learned several tricks for rigging in Maya! By the way, to anyone who gave positive support to my late dog, I really appreciate that! It will interest you that we got a new puppy back in the beginning of January. He’s a feisty one, but not all that bad!

There! It took me a very long time, but I’m glad it’s all over! Every sheet that is necessary for the first couple of Paper Mario shorts are dealt with! That means there’s nothing stopping me from tackling the storyboards, concept art, and the rigging!

Okay! Now, we have the progress sheet, much like I promised before! It’s about time that I started on Luigi!

I dished out a lot of Koopa progress now! Two or three updates later, I’ll finally wrap all my progress up! Then, I should start the rigging phase, which is when I’ll also work on background concept art, refine the script, and work out the storyboards! If I can’t get all my puppet parts situated by the end of March, then mid-April is a more realistic goal.

Scripting out the Action

While there’s no concept art in the works currently, I have something that is equally as important. While i was working off a script this whole time, the problem was that it lacked a good flow and there’s too much verbal exposition. I searched for someone to take the script and terminate those problems, but it barely worked out in the end. I rewrote the script by myself a while back and even had P.T. Piranha, a rather good friend of mine, take a crack at it. After enough waiting, though, I took matters into my own hands again.
