Why are people so salty over Sasuke not being at Kage Summit meeting when he wasn't there in the manga? Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Chapter 700 adapted in this latest episode? If that's the case then Sasuke was in the forest during Chapter 700, not at the meeting like some insist. Wasn't that other meeting when Sarada was young, and that's when he decided to go on his long mission?
People are upset over it because SP merged chapter 700 with the Kage Summit that happened during the flashback in Gaiden. Chapter 700 wasn’t when the Kage’s learnt of the existence of a threat more powerful than Kaguya - they learnt about it long before 700, in the flashback during Gaiden at the summit which contained Sasuke and Sakura.
But instead for whatever reason, SP changed the Gaiden flashback to include just Naruto and Sasuke, and then changed it so that the Kage’s learn about the threat during 700 instead, while Sakura was too busy to take her rightful place at the meeting because she was too busy unpacking. Well done SP.
If I remember correctly, I heard that SP took the Kages out of the Gaiden flashback so that they could have the flashy entrances that they had during episode 24. Now, while I did enjoy their introductions, if that was truly the only reason for this significant alteration of canon material, then that’s plain asinine.
I don’t understand why SP do a lot of things.
It wasn’t. The only thing from chapter 700 that actually happened was the summit and Boruto ruining the Hokage monument, both of which didn’t happen as they were supposed to. Adding things in is fine, but you shouldn’t change canon material in the process, something this studio can’t seem to understand.
