Ahh, you got to choose your roommate, that's cool!! Do you know if that's a common practice, or was it just your school?? (Sorry if this is a weird question or if you don't know lol) Also with the third roommate, did you all still live in the same room you were living in before? (unrelated but university of new haven is pretty close to a school i've been looking at in ny :D)

I’m not really sure! I mean I know a few friends who requested their roommates. if you stay on campus for housing, a lot of people pick their roommates so you could probably do it at most schools for your freshman year as well!!

with the third roommate we sorta dealt with. like the two of us would just hang out in another friend’s room to avoid her. I mean once sophomore year hit, I roomed with different people. this question is worded a little oddly but I hope this answers what you wanted to know??

Ahh thank you so much for doing this ask night!!!!!! How many colleges did you visit in hs? Where did you go and how long had you wanted to go there? How much did you stress about which colleges to apply for? Did you live in a dorm room with someone you had never met? If so, did you end up being good friends? What did you bring/regret NOT bringing? When you got into college, how much did you see your friends from hs after that? (Sorry for sooo many qs lol honestly bless you for doing this <3333)

I visited three because I didn’t want to go to college and my mom dragged me. I went to university of new haven and it probably was a terrible choice for me but it’s the only school I applied to and I got in so I went. I applied because it was the only school that looked appealing in comparison to the other schools I looked at. it’s size appealed to me and I also liked how it had a “campus” feel to me! with stress, I was suffering. I’m just a really anxious and worried person so I was so afraid I wasn’t gonna get in since it was the only school I applied to so rip my ass. but everything worked out

I did live in a dorm! I highly recommend living in one!! so what happened was on the incoming freshman page on facebook, I met a girl and the two of us hit it off. we ended up going to the same orientation day and became even better friends and we decided to be roommates. then we met this third girl at orientation and we were like, sure we like her enough, let her be our third roommate. that was a big mistake. but whatever, it made me stronger in the long run.

dude, I brought too many clothes. like I never could fit all my clothes in the given drawers and closet space. I was suffering all four years but did my ass ever learn? hell no. I do regret not having like a upright sitting pillow for me bed because I constantly was sitting in my bed but I made do with the pillows I slept on. also, if you go to school in new england like my ass. please, bring sweaters for the winter and fans for the summer. I sweated so much the four years I was at school.

uh with friends I only had like three or four friends I wanted to stay in touch with from high school and I talk to them still to this day. sometimes you grow apart and then you get back together. like one friend, by the end of high school I wasn’t really talking to much and now we hang out pretty often. college makes you grow up and realize which friends suck and which ones were actually good, you know?
