Sebastian follows after Kurt, reaching out to open the door and hold it open. It feels strangely formal, but he can't help himself. His mother trained him well. "Thanks for the sex," he says, a small part of him wanting to remind Kurt that it did happen, that they did fuck and that, however briefly, Kurt did want Sebastian.
Kurt blinks at the unexpected reminder, but this time he's more angry than embarassed. Was it really necessary for Sebastian to put it this bluntly, like it didn't have any meaning at all? Well, to Sebastian it probably didn't, it's just Kurt who can't help but have these stupid feelings that tell him that being close to someone like he'd been to Sebastian means something, when it clearly doesn't. Sebastian is getting married, after all, and anyway, this was only a one-night-stand. Still, Kurt feels hurt by the dismissive attitude, but if Sebastian can be unaffected, then so can Kurt. He'll show him. His stare focused on Sebastian intensely, Kurt slowly, deliberately steps closer until their faces are only inches apart, almost touching but not quite. His eyes dart briefly down to Sebastian's lips, so close to his own that he can almost feel the pull. He waits a second, until the tension is almost unbearable between them. Does Sebastian think he's going to kiss him, he wonders. "You're welcome," he whispers huskily, his mouth stretching in a grin, before he steps back abruptly, turns, and saunters away without looking back.
Sebastian leans against the doorway and watches Kurt go. What an unexpected little display that was; it's like Kurt is your average fashion kid, but with some kind of sex kitten hiding inside. Although the sex kitten is a bitch, thinks Sebastian, to tease like that and walk away. Sure, when they're together, it's all 'let's be friends, no sex, I'm not that kind of girl', and then that happens just as he's leaving. Completely impossible. Sebastian decides that Kurt really is made of ice (except when it comes to Blaine, of course). Still, he can't stop himself letting out a low cat whistle just as Kurt turns the corner out of sight.
