Horsemanship is something I absolutely love to shoot. And it’s always been something I love to observe. It is extremely fascinating to see how those enormous, strong animals with excellent temperament move with such power and lightness at the same time. I can’t stop admiring the movement of their muscles, whether they gallop at their fastest speed or simply just stand still. It really amazes me every time.
I’ve loved horses ever since I was a child. I don’t love just observing or taking pictures of them. I also love riding them. Back in a day I was even taking lectures and let me tell you, I don’t have a single bad memory from those days.
However, I stopped. I’d always say some stupid excuse like ‘I don’t have time.’ ‘It was expensive.’ or ‘My mum didn’t like the fact that it was so dangerous.’ Stupid isn’t it? Putting away something that you love and it makes you happy.
I miss it. I really do. Maybe I don’t have time to spare, but I could manage. If there’s will, if there’s desire anything is possible. But you have to fight for whatever you want.
I don’t want to say riding is a lost battle for me. One day, I’ll get back. I’ll fly. But for now, I’ll stand on the side and get these shots hah.
