The Swan of the Pacific: Yokohama’s Nippon Maru・太平洋の白鳥「日本丸」
Docked in Yokohama’s Minatomirai district, the historic sailing ship Nippon Maru once trained over 11,000 merchant marine cadets and circled the globe the equivalent of 45 times. Now preserved as a museum, she still dazzles with her towering masts and iconic white sails—unfurled just 12 times a year.
